I did not want to buy this figure when it came out, I was not crazy about the movie either and I guess I did not like that they did not make his helmet removable but now I guess I understand why the actor had no personality anyway so really who cared what he looked like and with Megos oversized heads it would have really gone down hill by then. I`m not liking that Mego is going cheap with stamp buttons instead of real metallic buttons and yes those straps will break eventually. So I basically make Megos my challenge and find myself thinking how can I improve this figure, so its become my hobby to make these better and really how they should look. So watching your video made me want to buy it. I watched your Mcdonaldland video a few weeks back and then ended up buying the Ronald figure. So now here I go again searching down a Rockateer, I hope your getting at least a kick back from Mego for making us want to buy this stuff. I love your videos man!
I'm not sure MEGO officially approves of my reviews. And why would they? I just give my honest opinion. But when they are available at retail for less than 15 bucks, they're not all bad. They could absolutely be better with a few specific changes. Add those improvements and the price hikes would make sense. As it stands, I'm glad I know how to re string these as an easy fix and with clearance bin bargains, they all make for great custom fodder. Thanks for checking out the video as always.
Hey Dan, I`m surprised you have not expanded your videos to like other things like travel or reviewing other items, Your an incredibly talented guy how you put these videos together and how you narrate the history of these figures and give out so much useful information and rap it all up in such an entertaining way. There ain`t nothing on You tube or TV that comes close to the entertainment value of your show or maybe is it just me that I may be an odd ball to get your dark humor, you should be at a million views. If Mego were smart they should be watching your videos, you won`t get a more direct truthful opinion anywhere else. Yes you are right at a $15.00 price-point ( if they stay that way) these figures are a great value for the money$ even if they are not as perfect as we would them to be. I want Mego and Figures Toy Company to thrive and be successful.
Did you ever see the Diamond Select 💎 version? I think we might've talked about it. It's not perfect and he doesn't have a gun, but I think it's the best Rocketeer out there... that I know of. Still, I would've been all over this Mego version if it was around when I was a kid. Also I have a couple of Rocketeer comic hardcovers if you want to check them out next time you're over.

I seen rocketeer in theatre with a buddy in 91. Liked it. I think the theatre was full back then

I never did get to see that Diamond Select one. If you can find it in your "Todd" room I'd love to check it out.
