SMJ123, in those days, there were experts, veterans of a particularly field, scholars that were equal in status and knowledge to the interviewee were selected to interview the stalwarts. These guys weren’t just pretty faces. The quality of interviews has gone down tremendously these days because most of the time the interviewer is chosen based on their looks or popularity. These are professional interviewers. They may have zero knowledge of the subject at hand. Unfortunately, that’s all we’ve gotten used to in the last couple of decades, professional interviewers with pleasing personality. There’s no knowledge or study of the subject matter or personality. I would say, it’s not your fault that you commented negatively about this esteemed scholar, who himself was as respectable as Bhimsenji.
