One At A Time | Episode 5 | Extra Mile Mentality

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus preaches a sermon known as “The Sermon on the Mount.” There is a section of this sermon where Jesus gives teaching that helps us understand just how intentional he was to show God’s love to people one at a time, but His teaching contradicts the way we naturally think. Towards the end of the message, Jesus talks to His followers about their identity. He says to them in Matthew chapter 5 - you are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. And then He teaches them how to treat people to shine a light and add some salt. His teaching will challenge your innate perspective and cultural understanding of how we treat people. Jesus teaches His followers to have an extra mile mentality with one person at a time, even when that person is an enemy making your life miserable. What would it look like to live that way today?
