Zani quite literally is the coolest woman in WW. What I really like is how they're writing the characters to actually exist in the universe. I.e. Zani working at the Averado Bank, Phoebe as an Acolyte as the order of the deep, Carlotta as the Montelli's go to for dirty work, Roccia and Brant at the Troupe of Fools etc etc. They're integrated well into the story and fit the narrative, and I'm glad the whole Rinacita didn't revolve around us. I enjoyed Zani's little tidbits of history as well as we explored Rinacita, and mostly THOSE EYES AND WE CANONICALLY DRINK ALCOHOL WITH HER!?
The previous characters always had a place in the world, it's just that they hadn't SHOWED it well. I agree with the sentiment to some extent tho. Some can excuse it because "they had to rewrite 1.0 as a whole" but it doesn't change the fact that you *barely* know these characters by the end of the story since you don't interact with them much besides an introduction, some characters just show up out of nowhere by the end of the story, and some don't show up at all.
As a fan of Helltaker. First time I saw Zani. I immediately wanted to pull for her and now knowing the story and getting to know. It makes it even better. Zani is sexy without even showing a lot of skin, with the combination of her design and voice, it just trumps all other sexy characters with less clothing

Hey LinaSera, as a man that speaks many languages (including Italian fluently), has friends from everywhere, and has travelled all over the world I can 100% undoubtedly confirm that Zani accent is Spanish (from Spain 🇪🇸, mainly from Castilian region)
I think her accent is a mix of italian and spanish from Spain. I don't know how to put it into words, but it feels like when you hear a spaniard faking italian accent or an italian faking spanish accent. Either way, she sounds cool af

I was already in love with Zani from the moment I saw her art, so I can safely say the 2.0 story blew away all of my expectations and made me fall even deeper in love with her. May Zani get all of the paid vacations she deserves 💞 Also COMPLETELY agree on the story/writing, 2.0 just completely blows all the previous story in a huge way, everyone is so delightful and feel like real people and that they have things going on in their lives, I can’t wait to see more of them!

Honestly i felt 1.1 jinshi quest was similar in the getting to know her part. Wasnt that bad. I agree the rover glazing felt earned. I loved that the most.
After I saw her character introduction I was gonna pull for her anyway, but when I saw the in game model, I just knew that I'm willing to pull and unhealthy amounts of all nighters for this woman.
She sounds similar to characters in Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. I don’t know if any of those voice actors were Italian or just doing an accent but that’s how she sounded to me and how I think we hear a lot of “Italian” accents. Probably better to just call it European.

2.0 is amazing. Rinacita is such a beautiful location, wandering around Ragunna city feels like stepping inside a dreamlike hallucination of a renaissance painting. It also kinda It reminds me of Neo-Venezia from the Aria animes. Carlotta finally gave us an truly awesome gunslinger, Zani is just undeniably cool (I hope she starts a labour union) and as for Brant, well...I didn`t think Kuro could get me to crush on a character more than Lee from PGR but they did it. Im so excited to see whats next, I want all the new characters and all the new story Kuro is cooking up.
Another great part about WuWa 2.0 is the fact that it also came with the PS5 Port. Add that with the whole Rinascita Content Package and it invites a whole new wave of Players to join the Game. This Patch pretty much served as an official "Second Launch" for the Game, having people who never tried Wuthering Waves when they first saw it to getting excited to try it when they saw the Rinascita stuff, especially about their Characters (especially those talking about Carlotta and Zani) and the many new features of the Game that were added thanks to Player Feedback that Kuro actually listened to and gave thougts to. Also, Women in Sharp Suits are the best!!! Zani was a legit Neurons Activation for me just for that fact and the fact she has one of the best Non-American Accents I have ever heard from an Asian Gacha Game. XD
Your taste in characters is as impeccable as ever, Zani is the one character that's making me want to get back into the game. I haven't played since Zhezhi's patch, (another favorite character of mine) I just don't have the time to play consistently, so I haven't committed to trying after all I've missed. >.< Zani seems wonderful though. ❤

I always get major AC2 vibes from Rinascita. The italian renaissance (I know for a fact I mispelled that, but im too lazy to fix it, deal with it.) theme the region has, and many of the voice actors having some sort of european/italian accent just fits the place quite well. I believe Zani's en va either has an italian accent, or is trying to imitate one perhaps. It heavily reminds me of when Ezio speaks (although that va i believe didn't have a natural accent and was just good at imitating it or someting.)
For a lot of 1.X the story acted like Yangyang was so important to Rover but it never felt all that earned, she was just a really sweet girl helping out someone who needed it, it never felt like they had a personal connection. Carlotta feels like she has a personal connection, she personally sent the invitation for someone from the Black Shores to be the esteemed guest of the Montelli family, took interest and observed us at every opportunity, and then when she realized exactly who she was dealing with she took action to ensure she had our back at all times.
Zani is definitely a very interesting character, so interesting I wonder if they purposely designed her with confusion in mind. Specifically, her accent isn't specific to any country, it should be an imitation of an Italian one but it ends up sounding like a mix of Mediterranean accents (Italian, Spanish, Greek). Furthermore, she recommends Rover to try out the Pizza Tropicale (an another name to Hawaiian Pizza/Pineapple Pizza), which originated from a Greek person in Canada and is notorious that Italians hate, making it really ironic hehe I love the theory that Zani was designed on purpose like that to show the creative mix of Mediterranean cultures in a fantasy world where real life countries don't exist the way we know them! Regardless of what the case may be, I want to see more interesting characters like her, borrowing ideas and mixing them to create something new in a fantasy setting
Out of all the characters in 2.0 update, Although Carlotta is the best waifu, Zani is the reason I saved up all of my pulls just for her banner because of the EN VA is an Italian Accent
I knew I liked her the moment I saw her character art. I got excited simply based off her character design, as it was a breath of fresh air to me. It was so nice to see a female character not in a dress for once. And while yes, the shirt is (obviously) a lil tight 😅 it doesn’t bother me too much. (Even if the game likes to remind you of it lol) And I was super happy to love her even more in the story. I love her role in the plot, her accent, just EVERYTHING. And while I am saving for Brant (I genuinely don’t have enough to get two 5 stars) she’s probably the only female besides Changli that I really enjoy and would pull for. (And I always pull for guys) but depending on when she comes and if I have enough left over, I may get her 🎉 or on her rerun. Will see.

I pulled for Carlotta cause I always vowed to pull for the first 5* gun character of the game. Problem now is whether to pull for Carlotta's weapon or not cause I want to start saving now for Zani. Not only am I a fan of her design and personality (👀), but I have a feeling she may be the first 5* tank/shield/defense buffer type character for the game based on the cutscenes showing her holding a shield.
I'm hoping the VA for Zani is getting all the love and recognition from the fans. She killed the role and hopefully will get more roles in other projects
I love everything about this patch; I might have been expecting really good things from them, but I was definitely hoping for them, and I was not let down in the slightest. Everything from the characters, to the writing and the story, and the massive and beautiful area, the flying... Just all of it, a master class. Zani was definitely a high point, all things considered, and I loved her inclusion. I will say, with Zhezhi, maybe it was just a performance or the work put into selling it, but something about her made her sudden crush on Rover believable and for me, winning. I still do ship her with female Rover, and the ability to change into a guy so my Rover doesn't "cheat" on her definitely makes me feel like a strange emotional little person, but I agree that most other characters were a bit hastily thrown into the game and somewhat seemed to attach to Rover quickly. Am I looking past Zhezhi's flaws in that regard because of bias? Maybe, maybe not. But she gets a pass from me.
I honestly thought Zani would be a serious type, after seeing her being informal and smile a lot, she's absolutely gorgeous I forgot about her horn too lmao she might have a closet of buttoned shirt
to be fair we all know that when she releases she will be all over Rover but at least the way they did it, you got to know them over time and later they start glazzing Rover
Zani's accent is apparently Italian, source: Marcomeatball (he's Italian), so I think it's safe to assume so. Also, 2.0 is so good, definitely a step up from 1.x. I don't think this is mentioned much, but I like how we're using trial characters to fight the bosses in the story. That made the fights much more immersive imo.
the only other female character who I found extremely drawn to, besides Zani, is Sanhua - she has that 'cool' vibe about her, and I find her outfit very beautifully simple (and actually practical..) and she also feels like her own character (wish we got more of her) and she's a really good ice dps too so now I'm in the trenches debating who's my fav wuwa woman 😭
I thought Zani was gonna be your typical cool, smart, and slightly silent archetype, so her being openly friendly threw me off. It honestly took me a while to get use to but, it's a real breath of fresh air. She really is just a chill, overworked and gets the job done kind of gal. She checks a 2/3 for me, only thing left is to see her playstyle 👀 Edit: Also I've seen a few Italians, Spanish, along with Greek speakers, say the accent is Greek.
I totally agree with all that was said and I can't be not amused by Rinaacita not just because how vast and technically advanced it is, but most of all because of the new ideas and changes that was implemented to improve the game but thats a shame that we still have just InSaNe and kind types of characters... someone does both
I plan to get Jinhsi next banner, hopeful not be tempted by Brant or Phoebe because I really want to get Zani and her companion quest better be her taking us on a vacation.

All of the characters in Rinascita is very in-depth, they're not a [x] trope like some anime characters does Always love seeing them being themselves rather than a restrictive character personality due to their own trope characteristics.
Not sure about 'all'. Roccia is kinda bland so far, and Phoebe is kinda cliché trope of sheltered girl figuring out the people she work for/raised her are actually bad. Carlotta, Zani, Brant, sure, agree
@unendingvoid I find roccia funny, she is a shy and introverted person but to someone she has connection and fond, she is straightforward and very honest Phoebe still has a story to tell, her story isn't finished in 2.0 and she still has a quite mystery in her own, why is she devoted? why drive her so? and so on.

it's like when PGR has Alpha and a lot of people and myself too got into PGR because of Alpha vs any bosses in RUclips, and Alpha still is cool but hot too lol. And now for Wuwa having Zani, Kuro games do know how to make good looking characters in their games.
The quality of 2.0 makes me wonder just how much of an impact the rewrite of 1.0 had on it's quality, since that apparently 2.x wasn't changed much.

Is it just me or anyone else here is excited to hear how she'll deliver her combat lines with that accent? I believe her EN VA is Italian no? So if they give her Italian lines like Roccia she should be able to deliver it really well
I pulled for Carlotta cause I always vowed to pull for the first 5* gun character of the game. Problem now is whether to pull for Carlotta's weapon or not cause I want to start saving now for Zani. Not only am I a fan of her design and personality (👀), but I have a feeling she may be the first 5* tank/shield/defense buffer type character for the game based on the cutscenes showing her holding a shield.
I have the exact same accent as Zani, that's castillian spanish specifically.

I'm hoping the VA for Zani is getting all the love and recognition from the fans. She killed the role and hopefully will get more roles in other projects
I love everything about this patch; I might have been expecting really good things from them, but I was definitely hoping for them, and I was not let down in the slightest. Everything from the characters, to the writing and the story, and the massive and beautiful area, the flying... Just all of it, a master class. Zani was definitely a high point, all things considered, and I loved her inclusion.
I will say, with Zhezhi, maybe it was just a performance or the work put into selling it, but something about her made her sudden crush on Rover believable and for me, winning. I still do ship her with female Rover, and the ability to change into a guy so my Rover doesn't "cheat" on her definitely makes me feel like a strange emotional little person, but I agree that most other characters were a bit hastily thrown into the game and somewhat seemed to attach to Rover quickly. Am I looking past Zhezhi's flaws in that regard because of bias? Maybe, maybe not. But she gets a pass from me.
Why wouldn't you want Changli to "come get you" with that face, though?

I for my part only was able to play to the point where we got invited to dine. Because Uni started again and I needed to work over the weekend.
Zani's accent is apparently Italian, source: Marcomeatball (he's Italian), so I think it's safe to assume so.
Also, 2.0 is so good, definitely a step up from 1.x. I don't think this is mentioned much, but I like how we're using trial characters to fight the bosses in the story. That made the fights much more immersive imo.

the only other female character who I found extremely drawn to, besides Zani, is Sanhua - she has that 'cool' vibe about her, and I find her outfit very beautifully simple (and actually practical..) and she also feels like her own character (wish we got more of her) and she's a really good ice dps too
so now I'm in the trenches debating who's my fav wuwa woman 😭
I thought Zani was gonna be your typical cool, smart, and slightly silent archetype, so her being openly friendly threw me off. It honestly took me a while to get use to but, it's a real breath of fresh air. She really is just a chill, overworked and gets the job done kind of gal. She checks a 2/3 for me, only thing left is to see her playstyle 👀
Edit: Also I've seen a few Italians, Spanish, along with Greek speakers, say the accent is Greek.
Zani's accent is Spanish. The way the letter "s" is pronounced is the signature sound.

I totally agree with all that was said and I can't be not amused by Rinaacita not just because how vast and technically advanced it is, but most of all because of the new ideas and changes that was implemented to improve the game
but thats a shame that we still have just InSaNe and kind types of characters... someone does both

apparently zani’s va is greek? so it could be her natural accent mixed with in with whatever was told to her by the director during recording-still means we have no idea what that accent is though, if it really is meant to be a blended one 😂

All of the characters in Rinascita is very in-depth, they're not a [x] trope like some anime characters does
Always love seeing them being themselves rather than a restrictive character personality due to their own trope characteristics.
Not sure about 'all'. Roccia is kinda bland so far, and Phoebe is kinda cliché trope of sheltered girl figuring out the people she work for/raised her are actually bad.

@unendingvoid I find roccia funny, she is a shy and introverted person but to someone she has connection and fond, she is straightforward and very honest
Phoebe still has a story to tell, her story isn't finished in 2.0 and she still has a quite mystery in her own, why is she devoted? why drive her so? and so on.
