I managed to clear the first phase with a mostly full health bar, though I was out of healing. Then phase 2 hits, the arena is filled with massive attacks that hit like a freight train, and the boss now has a giant sword. Yeah, I think I'm done for the day.
So true😅 I expected him to be another giant miniboss, but with a bit different moveset, but after defeat he literally turned into one of the most difficult bosses in the game)
This and the surrogate vulture OST gotta be my favorite. The epic, gloomy, doomy vibe is so my style. The Final performance, Whispering Mothers and the first Amalgam soundtrack where my next favourites after this and surrogate vulture!
The part of this that stuck with me was always the final fanfare at 3:30 where the giant is exploding and there are pillars of blood(?) bursting out of the ground, it felt very climactic to end the fight.
This boss really feels like a lot of things mashed together in the best way possible. Like it's a Rockgiant, but also a zombie from basically any zombie movie, but also the goddamn Guardian Ape from Sekiro (its head undergoes a gruesome change and a sword materializes from thin air), but also the OST feels like Father Gascoigne's at the beginning of phase two. Incredible
That's copied from the GRIME description, which is still true, I didn't say Colors of Rot was on Spotify. Unfortunately it's entirely out of my hands and it's up to Akupara Games if they want to release the Colors of Rot music.
@@alex-roe so glad you shared the OST through RUclips then! Here's to hoping it eventually comes up on Spotify or SoundCloud. Amazing compositions you created!!
The leitmotif of Grieving Rockgiant in this hits so HARD.
Harder than the boss itself even! Yet another Alex Roe banger.

My jaw literally dropped to the floor when he revealed his second phase and 02:03 played
Fr! The cello goes HARD! 🔥🎻

I can only hope that a Grime sequel will happen so you can make another unbelievable soundtrack
oh boy i have news for you

@@S.P.A.M trailer for GRIME 2 is out
@@kustrim2429 WHAT, i refuse to play it
@@S.P.A.Mbruh why
Fitting for a boss so clearly inspired by Bloodborne with that second phase, he ends up having "eyes on the inside"
This actually rocks so unnecessarily hard
i see what you did there
@@ledendron5590 you mean: Eye see what you did here?
hehe, ROCKS

Very similar to Inception
Music outshined the bosses tbh
I liked all of em tbh
