Chronic Meniscus Injury Recovery Without Surgery

  • A meniscus tear can be very worrisome for people, especially if their goal is to avoid surgery. Meniscus injuries can cause pain on the inside or outside of the knee, behind the knee, and locking when trying to straighten the knee. Pain on the inside or back of knee however is the most common complaint when recovering from a meniscus tear. Research has consistently shown that exercise may be all that's needed to fix this problem instead of surgery. So no need to rush straight to the doctors office or even get an MRI right away. In this video, I go over the mobility, and strengthening exercises you need to get your knee feeling better without surgery. As always be sure to consult with a medical professional as this video is very generalized information and not specific to any one individual.

    You are not your MRI - treat the movement, scale exercises based on sensitivity. Nonspecific injuries, imaging must be compared with movement and sensitivity levels
