Superb and sublime, Chris McMullan. A symphony achieved with the regulators. Thank you for making this available via the internet. Fondest appreciation from Shenandoah County, Virginia.
Beautiful melancholy, superbly played - as always. Shivers up and down my spine! Greetings from the spectacularly beautiful and rugged northern coast of Madeira!
Wow! What a beautiful this instrument is. How can you not feel at rest listening to this? I’m taken to another time when I heard this song for the first time. Thank you for learning this instrument and this song. One of my favorites now! Those regulators add a warm sound to the chanter.
Yesss!! The flat set is back out!!! 😁😁 Tis a hauntingly beautiful air... I'm not crying, just dust in my eyes - 10/10 🥲 Great vid; love the background change too 👌
Much love from the USA brother I’m a big fan. Any chance you know Garden Of Daisies? Hope Ireland is staying strong through these strange times. God bless🙏🇺🇸
We were basically out of the stranges times. I believe the last legal covid requirement for everyday stuff ended in feb whilst it has all remained in medical settings till this day.
I have a question about the pipes. Is it similar to playing the whistle in terms of fingering? I'm familiar with the whistle and it'd take away some of the intimidation in learing the pipes.
You think you would be able to do the brave soundtrack? Specifically the songs titled “the games” or “fate and destiny” both have very beautiful uilleann pipes.
What set or starter set do you recommend for beginners who want to get started with Ulliean Pipes and live in the US, and don't have $3k+ to spend on getting started, been wanting some for decades after growing up listening to IONA! I already have a Low D Irish Whistle I've been learning piping with but what I really want is to learn Ulliean Pipes!
Made me think lovingly of my (now dead) parents, both of whom were from Limerick. Thank you, Chris.
The same about m'y lovingly dad. Alan kloatr, Friend of mick O'brian
This is the theme tune to the movie Miller's Crossing by the Coen brothers
That's one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. Thank you.
Glad you like it!
This song makes me feel connected to my irish ancestors an damn proud of it 🇺🇲❤️🇮🇪💪
My dad was a piper,he had a Leo rosome set and he didn't like this song but we played at at his funeral.
It brings tears now.

Nice That thing looks like a wild animal. I guess you work with it and it gives something back. It's a partnership.

Is this for Paddy Maloney? Beautiful
If you take requests, how about The Green Mountain on the pipes?
How difficult are they to learn to play? I play organ, piano, flute, and oboe and taught music. Thanks.
Is this the theme tune played on Millers Crossing ?
Yes it is.
Who made this B pipes?
More.

Is there a historic event being lamented with this tune?
Possibly the Treaty of Limerick 1691. Or the exile of Jacobite forces from Limerick to the continent in the same year. Research needed.
@@liammacgraith26 Jacobite? I thought that was Scotland. (?)
Yes, the breaking of the Treaty of Limerick, before the ink had dried.
Any chance you'd do liam o'raghallaigh
Where are you based 🤍💯🤍☘️
Me when he hits on that (contra)bass regulator: :eyes:
