- Scientists have found a way to snap a piece of dry spaghetti into two pieces.
The long-time challenge has been to grab a single spaghetti stick and, holding it at both ends, bend it until it breaks.

Guys, If you are not tired of me, check out my documentary about Leondardo Da Vinci; it will seriously change your life. I traveled to Italy to shoot it, and it is was fire.

Never
as single spaghetti is called a spaghetti. so have fun with that
After watching the video, I went to the kitchen looking for regular spaghetti and wanted to try it myself. Exactly as in the video, I held the spaghetti by the two ends and stretched it until it breaks. I tried the whole thing several times, but each time the spaghetti just broke into two pieces....
I never even heard about not being able to break a spaghetto into two pieces before watching this
That's really why Italians tell you not to break the spaghetti you didn't hear from me. They just don't want little spaghetti pieces in their floor.
I just wanted to know why cooks always flip out when someone breaks the pasta before cooking it. This video doesn't explains that.
There is no specific reason why you shouldn't break pasta before cooking it, but not breaking it will keep it's consistency around the fork. That's how long pasta is supposed to be eaten. If you break your long pasta in half, you'll have shorter strands that are a pain to be eaten.
@@VladislavRadakShow no it's a pain to eat long-ass spaghetti
@@mts2457 it's a pain to eat broken spaghetti and often times I don't enjoy it.
It's an Italian tradition to twirl the 🍝 when it's long.
Me personally I don't break spaghetti.
The explanation is quite easy. As the spaghetti stick bends strongly, there are a bunch of cracks forming on one side, but only one of them will snap eventually if you bend it to the extent. If you then bend it to the opposite side without snapping, the cracks will propagate through the whole diameter, so it will break a lot easier after that. So, after the first crack is snapped, the spring force is released, and it will bounce backward, and then it will lead to the secondary cracks snapping in a cascade as they have been weakened previously.
Amazing work bro
Love the video! But Italians don't..
Have to tried twisting it?
I didn't make any calculation however the final explanation I'd knew discovered by my own imagination without any research , since first time I've seen this riddle , does it mean that I'm over smart or something like that ?
Since now thanks ...
✌🏾
I actually came here to try n understand why Italians don't like broken spaghetti noodles but this is pretty interesting too. Thumbs up 👍🏾
My Mrs just snapped it in half
We need proof Stevie!
My hubby split in half he has done so many times
What about organic spaghetti
Hahaha. They break in three or more organic pieces!
Great vid! The proof is not that complicated, it is surprising that richard feynman didn't get it over those years...
I guess scientific approaches are developing over the years, it is not only intelligence, but recourses, networking, technology...
But can you prove the theorem?
I can always prove the theorem 😊
Eat it however you want. Screw this
Came here from instagram🤣

Edit. wait was that Foreigner? Instinct said it but now im not sure...
