- Galaxy S21 water damage repair video, we'll discuss the causes of water damage and the steps you can take to fix it. After my Samsung galaxy S21 drowned after 7 minutes submerged I will show you all the steps you need to take to recover your samsung galaxy S21 or any other smartphones.
First step is to remove the back glass and disconnect the battery and remove or disconnect all flex cables. We need to dismantle the device to start the drying process.

same thing happened to my S21 Ultra, the phone got unresponsive but was still working and was getting hot, I thought it will recover on it's own once water get dried up. I should have acted immediately, the phone is completely dead now. Samsung technician saying that the board is dead and only after replacing the board they can be sure about other components if they are working or not. The Board is itself is very expensive to replace and I not sure what else would have been damaged, it's just not worth it to get it repaired now.
I have learned it a hard way that for any water damage time is critical, ACT Immediately or as soon as you can.
I'm confused isn't the phone water resistant

Part 2....I may not have uploaded it because the video was not doing well.
I managed to dry everything and reinstall all the components. The phone worked but while removing the battery I damaged the screen. I had to but a new screen (which was my fault)
You can search for my Xiaomi redmi note 10 pro water repair it's basically the same thing that I did to recover that device. (All parts are uploaded for that device)

If it's been in water for 7 minutes then the IP68 rating means nothing!! These phones are NOT water proof! I had mine under water for 3 seconds and it died. The water resistance is false advertising!!!!
Yes. In fine prints they clearly says water resistance will diminished with time. It's kind of fake advertising because during keynote they do not say that and it's not said or presented big and bold on pages showing the specs of the devices.
But how my ultra s21 made in Japan, water salt damage..the board was dead and CPU damage, the technician told me not to save all my files.. is this still have chance?
In your device condition, it my be difficult to recover because salt water is very corrosive. A technician can try to clean the boards and retest everything but there's no guarantee it will work.

No. I recovered this device after the water damage. Just did not release the video follow up.

Yes. It can you need to disassemble the device the next 3hr preferably immediately after the water damage symptoms. That will leave better chance for recover. The longer you wait the higher the chance of permanent damage. Disassembly and dry for hours using air (not hot air) and reassemble the device.
You're rough with the phone sir. Gentler hands are always best for delicate electronics.
I don't agree. I am the only one doing risky videos and ending up with damaged phones.

Hey Annabel, You'll will need to disassemble the device let it dry and put everything together and hope no permanent damage has been done.
my s21 ultra got aosked for 1-2 sec, now the camers shows moisturizers and power button isnt working, do i need to dismantle my phone?

Humm it's a bit of a gamble to just wait. It can go away by itself but hoping nothing else arose while you wait to dry.
You can simply remove the back let things dry or use a cold hair dryer blow air for 10~20 MN and reseal the back. You can wait also but if it takes too long to disappear you need to dry things inside

Can oxidisation take place in devices like this?
Can you explain more? Oxidation if water is stagnant? Inside the device....most likely it's going to corrode electronic parts and create white paste etc....that's what I found inside my redmi note 10 pro when it was drowned and wasn't responding

It may, it difficult to give a firm answer. On my redmi note 10 pro the screen was black Unresponsive and it was getting hot and when I opened it some pcb board had white corrosion. Fortunately I was able to dry everything, clean all the parts and the device work normally like nothing happened.
Isnt this phone supposed to be ipx6 resistant?
