Oh, hell naw! Alfred would not have approved at all! Especially that bitter wife of his! Alfred pissed me off the whole time using Uhtred as a pawn to save Wessex for his sickly a***! I totally get using ur best Warrior, but there was need for them to continue treating Uhtred the way they did after he had proved time and time again he was trust worthy. Alfred trifling a*** could read Uhtred motives from the beginning, but he couldn't read those other dirt bags in his counsel that surrounded him daily. Especially the one he married to his daughter! I totally loved Alfred's character in "Vikings." He was both cunning and fair, not to mention good-looking! I was so glad when Uhtred finally told Alfred, "hell naw" I won't be ur boot licker for ur son! Imo, Uhtred should have been King instead of a King maker. Facts!

They shouldn't kill Aethelflaed. Uhtred and Aethelflaed deserve to be together until season 5 and in the upcoming movie. They will get married and have kids. Aethelflaed should be the last woman of Uhtred in TLK. I just love their chemistry. They are perfect with each other.
I would love to see the reaction of her mother if she marries Uhtred. Having said that, the Queen is a thankless woman, despising Uhtred after all that he has done for their family.

Shocked to see her just a shadow of her father ambitious. Asking him to get down from the throne of Mercia was unethical and cruel. She asks him to give his daughter to the Danes... Abhoring! Yet if only Edward's first born would help him take his lost home... there would be some poetic justice.
