Having Slavs as a separate civilization distinct from Poles and Bulgarians is one of the dumbest moments a historical game. It’s like having Chinese, Japanese and Asians in one game. I wonder if the devs will ever change that
One solution will be to rename the Slavs as Russ, in order to have a distinction between the Eastern Slavs (the Russ), the Western Slavs (the Poles) and the Southern Slavs (the Bulgars) something similar to what they did with the DLC dinastyes of india
I am pretty sure the Slavs was supposed to represent the Eastern Slav civs (Ruthenian, Rus, etc.). The devs was probably too lazy to actually change the name once other Slavic factions were added
Also when they made Vlad Dracula campaign instead of making the wallachians civ they put so you can play as turks, slavs and magyars which does not make any sense I mean I know they didnt put wallachians maybe because wallachia was not an empire because at the end of the day is age of empires not age of nations or purely out of xenoph......dont matter
@@Carpatin7202 Yeah, they could introduce the Wallachians as a standalone civ, just like they did in the Dynasties of India. But the reason why they can't change the Slavs name to Rus still perplexes me. I mean it's 5-minute work literally
What they would probably do on the future: 1-Create two more civs with the Eastern European architecture: Rus/Russians and Vlachs (medieval Romanians, including Wallachians, Moldavians and Transylvanians). 2-Make the Boyar a cavalry unit disponible to all Eastern European civs, instead the Knights, Cavaliers and Paladins. The unique unit of the Rus/Russians will be the Streltsy Arquebusiers, and the Vlach unique units would be called Pancerati, a type of armored soldier, or maybe the Fustasi, a soldier armed with a long spear that served as a guard unit.
it still bother me that they changed both Slavs and Indian voice line yet they can't be bothered to change the Italians voice line to use a proper Italians
Прикольно то что я понял все фразы на слух, ибо старославянский язык для меня понятен как и другой любой язык моих братьев славян. 🇷🇺❤️🇷🇸🇧🇬🇧🇾🇵🇱🇸🇰🇸🇮🇲🇪🇭🇷🇲🇰

Why there is a random сделаю 0:15 from Age of Empires III Russian settler?
1:08 first time a heard that I thought he was speaking portuguese lol btw, my fav line 😊❤
some people say that portuguese sound like russian sometimes. I'm portuguese myself. I have to agree, sometimes it sounds similar indeed
I have a suggestion: For military units, instead of a Militia better show a Castle Unit (a Boyar in this case).
Разработчики: а давайте сделаем фракцию славяне
Также они: а давайте ещё добавим Болгар, Чехов и Поляков
Хахаха кста да. Но вообще в аое2 славяни это типа восточные славяне(киевская Русь и её продолжение)
Slavs and Bulgarians. Or do Bulgarians speak a different language now?
Yea, i think Bulgarians do have slightly different voicelines
@@stepanokhrimenko9189 Yeah they use same words but in slightly different voicelines.
@@mubashirulmoula1798славянские языки хоть и похоже, но между ними все равно есть различия

The word "remont" did not exist in medieval Russian, it's a loanword from the 18th century from French.
