most coolers have hollow lids. put a hole in each end. take a can of spray foam and put it in one of the holes and fill a little at a time till it comes out the other hole

Great tip! Excellent DIY project for keeping live bait. Even if an angler keeps it in the truck and just takes what bait is needed for spot hopping in a smaller bucket. Good one, keep em coming!

Thanks Frank😎 I figured I'd save some money and time lol. Your exactly right. I have a big homemade bait cooler I keep in the back of my van. I keep all my baits alive in that and take the smaller bucket wherever ill be fishing. That way I diffently don't run out of bait. I just walk back to the van to get more. I've had up to 40 bluegill at one time in the same cooler. They lived the whole time I was out and then some. I think those bait coolers are more for boat fishermen. But most of us can't afford boats or able to just pull up to their favorite fishing holes. This should help with that.

Putting the hole for the tube would be way better on the cooler not the lid
