Ive used Flux. Its more money per spool, looks terrible and to make it look good youll spend more money on flapper wheels and tiger paws and sparks destroying glass and imbedding in to surrounding items. Flux is more expensive in the long run. ADDED Bonus of having gas is that you can run flux with gas and penetration is better. Nice machine👍👍 Those cylinders are $$$
Great choices! I bought my Hobart Handler 140 brand new back in 2000... That welder has been put through hell and still welds like a champ. I absolutely hate flux core wire... Shielding gas FTW! Congrats on your purchase 👍
Solid choices! Time to get busy!
It was awesome meeting you at NNN, We will be putting your advice to use soon!!!
Awesome welder, can't wait to see what you do with it
🤓👌👍🖖✌😎
Your voice is very familiar!!
Just did this myself last season to put repair patches in the Camaro's subframe. It was great to meet you at the NNN!
Nice welder.
Good luck on the rebuilding of your car.
Take care, Ed.

Flux core has its place. If I was welding fence on a farm out in the wind, I'd be using Flux core.
@@mostlyoldparts Agreed 👍
