Kids just don't know how DEVASTATING this man was to a defensive game plan. He could run every route. He went 110% every play. Even downfield blocking for his teammates. Nobody could catch him from behind in his prime. He has re wrote the NFL record books in regular season and Playoffs and Super Bowl. This man in todays league of no contact and QBs can stand in pocket and not get touched. Would EASILY have multiple 25 td seasons and 2,000 yards. This man scored 23 td's in 12 games in 1987 22 rec 1 rushing. Randy Moss scored 23 in 16 games . In a year where Brady threw 50 the league had changed QBS play longer and make better throws because they are protected. Nobody is gonna take out a knee or have a 300lb lineman pancake the qb. I'm agine what Rice would do today. It would be similar to what Jordan would do today in the NBA DOMINATE

Jerry is THEE greatest receiver in the history of the NFL. One of the greatest players ever in the NFL.
Yes I agree by the numbers but he also played 20 yrs in the league. Players are not playing that long. Especially, with the toll it takes on your body from all the hits from over the years. It takes a toll on a players body. Look at Calvin Johnson. One of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. He had injury problems. Health comes before the wealth because there is life after football. To me, Randy Moss is the most athletic receiver I've ever seen. Therefore, Jerry Rice will hold those records for several yrs and plus Jerry Rice in San Francisco never played with a bad QB. Two Hall of Famer QB's. Just my opinion.

You can’t argue with Rice saying the league is soft and the players are (way) more protected. There’s no way Brady would be playing at the age of 44 in Rice’s era. Rice is the GOAT.
