Most of the population opposes the Hasina regime due to rampant corruption, police killings, US-sanctioned RAB actions, party supporters' land grabbing, budget mismanagement, widespread human rights violations, particularly against hill-tracts indigenous people, kidnappings, rape, extortion, arson, brutal crackdowns on protests, unsafe college and university environments created by the Bangladesh Chhatro League (BCL), illegal firearms usage, lack of national security, job sector corruption, nepotism, and impunity for security forces. This government has done everything short of bombing civilians. The country is now under a dictatorship led by Sheikh Hasina. We, the people of Bangladesh, have had enough. It's time for change. We demand our right to live, vote, justice, safety, and freedom of speech. #stepdownhasina

The government has not released the exact death toll till date. I can see in many media, they are only talking about 200+ killed. The actual killed in the whole country is more than a few thousand. More than 20,000 were injured. More than 30,000 including students and opposition groups were arrested. Mass graves have been given in different parts of the country. Many bodies have gone missing, unaccounted for.
