i was going to play this for my senior recital last year but it unfortunately got cancelled but its still dear to me even if i didnt get to perform it :)
Wow, your tone is amazing throughout the whole piece, but I'm so impressed by how beautiful your high notes are! I haven't put in enough work yet to make mine less shrill. This is one of my favorite pieces; I loved it!
As a fellow clarinetist, I like it overall! It would be really cool if you had bass clarinet to cover the trombone solo! I personally would have played it a little bit slower as it feels a little hurried. Finally, it seems like your fingers are "flying away" from the clarinet, especially on the higher notes rather than staying closer to the instrument.
Thank you for the comment! I definitely would have played the trombone part on a bass clarinet but I don't own one so I had to improvise haha. Tempo-wise I certainly understand where you are coming from and I completely agree that my personal interpretation of the waltz was a lot more fast paced than the original, but I thought it would be interesting/more engaging to have it in a different tempo than what I hear throughout youtube. Also thank you for the constructive criticism on my fingerings! I definitely see that my fingers move widely though the piece and I'll take more care whenever I practice. It's good to hear praise, but thank you for the honest feedback on how you thought of the video and what I can do to improve!
@@Dongjae_Lee I forgot to mention- props for pulling this off- it’s not easy to do! Out of curiosity, what’s your setup- instrument, mouthpiece, reeds, ligature, etc.?
I actually found the score from musescore so the full credit for the arrangement itself goes to the user GustavMahler60. I will post the link in the description.
@@Dongjae_Lee My apologies; later I felt my comment was too harsh. I should have said I admired your moxie and talent less than the inrerpretation of the piece.
Thanks for watching! If you enjoy more videos like this, check out my latest clarinet arrangement:

Hi! It sounds great! Can music scores be shared?
I actually found the score from musescore so the full credit for the arrangement itself goes to the user GustavMahler60. I will post the link in the description.
Can you give me a link to the score please?
Is there sheet music for your arrangement anywhere?
Sorry for the late response! The description was updated to show the musescore link of the sheet music that I used
ghastly, painful , a mess - a screw up of a wonderful piece of music by a great composer.
It’s nice to hear differing opinions
Is there anything in particular you didn’t like about it? I’m always open to criticism
