Franco Davin was a great ATP player himself with some titles, the record of the youngest player winning a main draw ATP Tournament match (vs. Gildemeister at the age of 15) and victories against Agassi, Becker and Bruguera, for example. There's a couple of videos on RUclips that show him in his youth times playing great tennis. Sadly, he retired very young (27 years), presumably trying to protect his mind from the savage stress that he experienced touring. As coach, he has a rare achievement: 2 Grand Slam titles with 2 different players (Gaudio RG 2004; Delpo US Open 2009).
@@92edro as a matter of fact, no, i was on the route of becoming a tennis couch but i wasnt ready to leave my ego beside and adapt my groundies, not the only reason ofc but one of the most childish for sure
What? Forehand is good, I can conceed you that, but Fognini's backhand is no way best two-handed in the tour. Almost none impulse from the legs, arms fully extended ALL THE SWING AND FOLLOW THROUGH, too short in terms of ball depth and height. Take some minutes to analyze Djokovic's forehand and two-handed backhand. THAT'S A GREAT COMBO!
David Alejandro Gómez you’ve obviously never seen Fogninis backhand in play he has a unorthodox hitting style that works for him it doesn’t need to be the same cookie cutter shit that everyone else uses to be good he gets insane speed and depth with just rotation he’s one of the strongest players on tour
I found this practice session very satisfying to watch because of the simplicity of both while hitting. Just gorgeous. Thanks for upload!
Roger Federer they're both talented. the only difference between them is their mental strength on matches.
The coach hits a nice ball. I like the abbreviated follow through, especially on the backhand ... very neat and effective.
That's Franco Davin. He's a great coach too.

@@davidag90 I saw Franco playing a tournament here in Quito, many years ago. I loved his game.

i love fognini's forehand
Dang, his coach with the super old school looking strokes.
Beautiful, compact backhand.
Is a coach really a coach without beautiful simple old school strokes? Haha

Best Forehand / 2 handed Backhand combo in the business.
not fully convinced on the forehand, Carreño Busta would be my pick

You wanna say Djokovic, mate.
Yooo! I actually agree. Mental game aside, i think Fognini is one of the best pure ball strikers of all time. It’s a shame he’s so hot-headed
thanks for all the nice videos you uploaded for this tournament!
Thank You for this .
Came for Fognini, stayed for his coach (Davin).
Franco Davin has a stylish backhand 🙌
Yo soy Paraguayo y admiró a fognini es un jugadoraso y tiene estiló
Who is his coach. Love his form. Want to watch and learn from him
Gordon Cashmore Franco Davin, ex delpo's coach
Delpo's, and Gaudio, and Coria. He really know what he does haha.
His forehand is a modern/lazy blend of Courier and Agassi forehands.
love the coaches backhand no chance for error
Between Fognini and Jack Sock it’s tied for lowest effort volleys on the tour.
Is his backhand left-handed Easton?
Davin 👏
So relaksing tenis 🤗 bravo !!!
Seen Fabio play live and he can really rip that forehand! It was so fast very talented player just not consistent unfortunately.
4:38 😆
whos that guy playing with fognini?
It's literally in the description
Bjorn Borg
Babolat Pure Drive allllllll the WAY baby😜...Nice practice...🤗
Easy power😁
MTM!
His head never moves
ostapenko strikes again
A good coach would carve him up. He has lots of natural talent but he's self-absorbed and theatrical. Shame. :)
Knead cannot agree more, fognini is a clown on the count, disrespectful, and just not great for tennis
what a low intensity practice it is disappointed...
It's Fognini. He barely moves his feet or split steps in a match anyway.
He’s a bum all around, what’d you expect?
A C Fognini is no bum mate
