As a kid back in the 60's & 70's, we lived 4 houses down from a corn/soy bean field. I always made sure I was there to watch all the harvesting 😊 I was, and still am fascinated by the huge combines and corn tractors. They would run all through the night until they finished ! 🤗🥰❤❤❤

Great video showing what it’s like to farm corn in Kansas. So much corn, yay! (Know there’s wheat too). Sorry about the storm but it sounds like you all got the job done, late into the night, after 7pm. Things look dry, so you probably needed the rain. Big machines tend to choke up sometimes, you & Zak got it done! Thanks for sharing, it’s good information for us, who use the product, unless the corn goes for feed. You do everything with a smile & big heart, JoJo! Love it! ❤👍🥰

I think we are going to move to that exact set-up in combine and header. We've been running nothing, but JD for decades. Exciting to see and glad y'all are harvesting some good corn!

  • @desertcrab6331
    @desertcrab6331 Месяц назад +1

Jordan, you have added a drone to your posse? My goodness, I don't know how to find time to do editing and posting and such.
I can hear your excitement, but even for a novice like me, I can see the greater yield with that new header. You guys have had it awhile and itching to put her to the test.
Is he filling his combine full before 2 carts can keep up? To the point he has to stop and wait? You guys are adjusting on the fly, you will have it figured out by the end of harvest. I am already anticipating the preparation for next year. I enjoyed all the off season preparation because it was always based around what you learned the year before.
Tell Zach to keep his trade secrets to himself, we understand. I can see your excitement. A good CartGirl can keep up, you both have this down. This is the fun time when sprinkler heads can be forgotten.
The last truck before the storm, why is it ALWAYS the last truck? Chopper kicking out of gear. I want to do this SO bad, I would be all up in this. Getting under it all, fixing it all.

I'M SO HAPPY FOR BLAKE AND BOTH OF YOU!!!!
We farm but nothing on what y'all do. For us it's just raising critters, goats, chickens, rabbits, geese, quail. Our latest additions are snakes and rats....I know, not traditional, lol.
That is amazing how well that combine does, I've read about them but haven't had the pleasure of running a model like that.
Absolutely thrilled that you are doing a cover crop, I've never used triticale as a cover crop but am interested in learning more. I've always done peas, well because I like peas and it works.
Another question, have y'all used biochar as an amendment? It's cuts down on water usage and provides a home for those beneficial microbes.
Oh, would it be possible for y'all to interview Blake?
I'll keep praying for you all and that you have the most bountiful harvest you ever have had.

for a coincidence i saw a short from your channel, i liked it so i watched several videos from your channel i liked how you enjoy your farm life then i knew that you lost your husband and you are doing this as a way of healing i admired this fact. i 'd like to share with you that one year ago i was depressed i was suicidal life was meaningless to me back then, i loved a girl who didn't love me back i wanted to marry her but she ghosted me like i am nothing then cheated on me twice, i couldn't bear the pain for a long time and as a guy society didn't give me the right to even cry, i hide my feelings and when i tried to talk to somebody i felt like a big burden for them,, time didn't heal anything that i decided to end all this suffering. but a random phone call stopped me in the right moment! after that i decided to get help then i began Psychotherapy i was diagnosed PTSD, but now i am in a healing journey which is so hard but interesting, i like it. now i began to love myself take care of my self do the things that i love, for example drawing, drawing was my hobby in my childhood but i stopped it for a years now i am back to it... seeing someone like you enjoying doing things in his life, healing after a long period of suffering and pain is a blessing to me. i am from Egypt and i say thank you...

Get Zac to look into John Deere machine sync on the Gen 4 display screen ( if you haven’t already got it ) , We had it on our set up this year and it worked really well as the cart drivers can’t see into the trailer, plus the combine doesn’t lose output slowing down to load !

Those are pretty impressive numbers, both the yield and bph.
Are you guys expecting to see that much benefit from cover crops or is it just the subsidies that make it so attractive? I know most of the guys that do it around our area (Newton) do it for the subsidies. But we also don’t have the irrigation.
