- Crystal Palace produced a resurgent second-half performance which came close to earning them a point against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, however a late penalty decision prevented the south Londoners from capitalising on a gripping display.

After Jota missed the kick, he changed direction to Guaita
Never a penalty
There's 2 sides to that though, the keeper still got no where near the ball and took Joto out, it's a hard call but to me I would be gutted if it was given against us but I can see why it was given, that's the grey area that needs to be cleaned up from the game.
nope everyone can see that the keeper ran into him but it can be discussed if it was enough to give a penalty
From another Liverpool fan: Liverpool keeper, Alisson Becker, gave an incredible performance that most likely saved the Reds from an embarrassing loss. Palace not scoring more is a mystery, and a win would have been deserved. TIA gave him top rating and that barely ever happens.
Liverpool fan here. Respect to Crystal Palace and Patrick Vieira. Good luck on the rest of the season. #YNWA
Liverpool official channel included more Crystal Palace highlights than you guys, what a shame. Especially that Edouard backheel is missing.
From a Liverpool fan: really unlucky, palace had so many clear chances in the second half they should’ve won this. I must admit Vieira is doing a great job so far. Not a penalty, but damn what a pass from Trent. Good luck in the rest of the season
shouldve won this? bit of a stretch
No that penalty no where near a penalty
Kudos to Crystal Palace for the game and uploafing the highlights. As a Liverpool fan I never thought it was a penalty, that was just a soft one from the ref. CP had a great second half performance and very close on punishing LFC. Good luck on the rest of the season. YNWA!
Kevin is still no Friend of crystal palace
I hope that he and the VAR team today will get suspended after this .
But the only thing there will happen is Patrick will get a fine .
Hope we don't have Kevin as ref. Rest of the season. 2 times and 2 penalty's in the dying min. Is enough.
Great comeback by CPFC.
Bloody kevin friend
robbery, had all the momentum killed by that rubbish pen
Keep crying
Well played
Neutral fan it's clearly jota changed his direction to the keeper he deserves to be booked not a penalty....
The Ref was unfriendly to CPFC
Rest up well
Keep working hard in training
We move on 🦅’s👊
Not only is that not a penalty, it's a foul by Jota on Guaita.
Guaita is standing his ground, as he's allowed to, and Jota runs into him!
Liverpool fan here: fck VAR, gg to Palace for sticking it to us in the second half
Palace was completely dominant the second half fair play
Crystal Palace deserved to win today. But Alisson Becker did excellent job under goalpost and didn't let it happen. And the decision of umpire to award penalty to Liverpool even after checking VAR was unfortunate instead Jota should have been shown a yellow card.
Poor var decision, that's never penalty.
unlucky lads, norwich next week should be a win
Chamberlain's goal was offside cus Firmino was off and tried making contact. That penalty is an absolute disgrace.
As a Liverpool fan: that wasn't a penalty but in the 89th minute the game was over so I don't believe it changed the outcome.
2nd goal was offside
incident happend in the 84th min + 2nd goal was offside
Steve Parish. Next time Kevin Friend turns up to ref, make sure security know he's not allowed in. After all 'The Management has the right to refuse admission' under English Law which supercedes anything the FA says.
buen partido del liverpool amo estos partidos
Palace under viera next season - if they continue to improve - have a shot at breaking into top 6
I'd like to know which rule made this into a pen in the eyes of the VAR ref?
Roubaram o meu Crystal 😌 #BotafogoCrystal
From liverpool fan. You deserved at least a point and that was never a pen.
Jota should have been sent off for Elbowing the keeper in the face
The referee no longer has control of matches in the EPL. When Stockley Park tells a ref to look at the screen, they are in reality telling them to reverse their original decision.....regardless. And that's what Friend did, like a good boy.
Alisson is the best goal Keeper in the world
The problem with decisions in game is that they are subjective, VAR and Referee. The real question if it was reversed, would Crystal Palace have been awarded the same decisions. Probably not!! That is the problem. It is happening in a lot of games. A neutral here watched the game, and thought Crystal Palace deserved something from it.
Unlucky Palace, though defensive wise you need to improve but attacking you guys look really good, I'm unsure about the pen, I can see why it was given but I would be annoyed if it was given against my team, I think this is the grey area that needs to be cleared up by FIFA, UEFA, FA etc.
Do you reply if I'm early?
VARsical decision
The liverpool ytb account showed more of palace's chances than palace's own account damn
How can a referee look at that and decide it's a penalty? You have to go and find another job.. maybe lorry driving.. there were shortages last year.
How is that even a penalty ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why was that a Penalty I’m a Liverpool fan but u can roughly tell that Jota could have hit it
Referee kill the game
How was that a penalty lol
I'm a Liverpool fan but that's not a penalty in a million years lmao var is a joke
Why pinalty? J
crystal palace 1 - 3 alisson becker
LI-VAR-POOL
1st half was Liverpool dominance but 2nd half was yours you deserved at least draw not the penalty kick
The second goal scored by Ox,Firmino was offside and he attempted the ball, that disabled Mitchell to touch the ball.
Secondly, the penalty is wrong because Jota decision on the ball was done and he miskicked the ball out of play
First off was that a penalty? No it wasn’t a penalty massive luck with VAR decision probably the karma for not get one at Spurs but thank God for it but for that penalty this game could have gone either way
Not sure we would hang in there till the final whistle without that dodgy penalty we were that atrocious bar the first 32 minutes where Palace were overwhelmed with our pressing without the ball and passing with it everything clicked straight into gear.
But after 32mins It was amazing how we could have 2 polar opposite displays in the same game
The second half is the worst I have seen this season. Sloppy passing, midfield dreadful and backline awful.
Certainly saw both sides of Liverpool today, the good and the absolutely fucking horrendous! Why is the game management such an issue?!
Two seasons ago, when we won the EPL, We were absolutely sensational at controlling the game in the second half, suffocating teams of space and possession in dangerous areas.
This year, We have struggled to take the game by the scruff of the neck when leading several times, letting teams like Brentford, Spurs, Chelsea and Brighton back into matches.
We practically let it go again today if not for the heroics of Ali.
There were just too many turnovers in bad positions, with several of them coming from no real pressure we need a solid holding midfielder ASAP.
In response to Jermaine and Micah on MOTD 2: swings and roundabouts, lads. I know Spurs lost and Man City dropped a couple of points, but come on, lads- let's have impartiality, please.
Haha how is that a penalty?
nee wonder there called liVARpool lol.
Credit to the 🦅
We won (Liverpool fan) but I have to admit that Jota's penalty never exicted 🤦♂️
First
Second
Only Liverpool gets these penalties, amazing corruption.
Stop crying like a kid. Other teams have also got soft penalties
Palace keeper literally takes Jota out. Clatters into him at full speed. And you’ve cunce saying it’s not a penalty cos the ball was getting away from Jota? Ah come on. In that case why not just kick every striker in the box that doesn’t have the ball. Take them all out. Is that okay cos they don’t have the ball? It WAS a penalty.
If u look closely, it is so obvious that jota is the one who run to the keeper direction after he missed that ball. He even didnt run toward that ball after he missed
@@mgww9455 Jota loses contact with the ball, then looks to see where Guiata is, moves so he and Guaita contact looking for the penalty. VAR runs the clip so many times as they can't CLEARLY see what happened, Thus NOT "a Clear and Obvious error by the ref" and should not have sent Friend over to check the video footage. But Friend knows Klop will call him out for his mistakes, even if it costs Jurgen £45,000, so Friend awards a penalty.
