This is a great comparison video. Thanks. I am a bit dubious of companies where there are no bad reviews like the Alton website but this seems pretty balanced. I am new to these hiking mats. Could you tell me if I get the higher insulated one, will I overheat in hot weather? Do I need a low R value for mild conditions?
Hey thanks, I would go the higher insulated one even for all 4 seasons, just cos in my mind if it’s a hot summer night the rising cold from the ground will be less of a factor, but on a colder winter night when you want to be warm it is a huge factor. And it makes a big difference 😊
I was just about to buy the Alton sleeping pad but thankfully I saw this first. The quality obviously isn’t there so I’ll keep looking.
Great independent review guys
Thanks a lot ☺️
Thanks for the review.
Mates have raved about sea to summit but insulated mat from Alton in the new wider model sounds like the go.
Thanks guys, I've just ordered an Alton and you have re assured me that I've made a good choice!
