HOW I BECAME A HINDU?
This dialogue chronicles the life and spiritual journey of Maria Wirth, a very important warrior for Sanatana Dharma. By birth, she is a German and by choice ‘A Hindu.’ She begins the dialogue with how her impromptu short visit to India never really ended, rather bestowed her with a spiritual home. Since then, she lives in India and writes on the subjects of yoga, aspects of Indian spirituality, life positive and the role of Christian missionaries in harming India.
What makes her sought after is her interesting perspective towards Hinduism and Abrahamic religions. In this video, she shares what makes Hindu Dharma different from other faiths. Why does Hinduism make sense to her? Why did she leave Christianity to become ‘A Hindu’? She has shared multiple cases of her Christian childhood to support her statements.
Towards the end, she brings to notice how Abrahamic religions exercise their rights to preserve their identity, contrary to Hindus. If they can, why can’t Hindus? She ends the interview by raising a pertinent question:
Can’t Hindus at least warn to stop teaching their children that they are substandard?

Maria Ma'am speaks with an Almost Indian accent with a tinge of German pronunciation.
Most of all people even in India don't know "Dharma" doesn't have any English Translation. People of India or abroad they use to think Dharma means in English is :- "Religion".
But both are not at all same. Any "Religion" must have any founder or Prophet.
But "Hindu Dharma" or "Sanatan Vadic Dharma" had created automatically from the wisdom of human. Means it is a way of life, with great freedom. "Dharma" is the technic of purification of your inner "Me". It teaches to entire mankind "How to be a Purified Human being" means in Sanskrit Language "Manur Vhaba" means "be a Purified Human being".
So, Dharma is only one in this Earth & that's "Hinu Dharma" rest of all religions means "PANTH" or "MAJHAB".
WHAT IS ABOUT BEING A HINDU
(Vaidic Sanatan Dharma).....??
1) Believe in God ! - "Aastik" - Accepted.
2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as "Nastik", yet you are Hindu.
3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a "Murti Pujak".
4) You dont want to worship idols - No problem.
You can focus on "Nirguna Brahama" :- Shapeless, Formless, Infinite, means without beginning or end. Sanatan Dharma use to identify as a :-
"Nirvikalpa Brahama".
5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are having Nos. of argumentative logical Philosophy "Nyaya", "Tarka", "Memansha" "Charvaka" etc.
6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most Welcome. Please go ahead with it....
7) You want to start your journey by reading "Bhagvad Gita".......
- Sure...!
8) You want to start your journey by reading "Vedanta means Upanishads" - Go ahead......
9) You want to start your journey by reading "Purana"...... -Please be my guest.
10) You just don't like reading "Veda", "Vedanta" (means "Upanishads") "Puranas" or other books.
No problem my dear. Go by "Bhakti Tradition". "Bhakti" means "Devotion".
11) You don't like idea of "Bhakti" means devotion...! No problem....
Do your own "Karma"
(means Work & Duty).
Be a "Karmayogi".
12) You want to enjoy life. Very good.
No problem at all.....
This is our "Charvaka Philosophy".
13) You want to restrain from all the enjoyment of life & find the God - Great..! Be a "Sannyasi"(Saint/Monk) means an "Ascetic" !
14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only. Most Welcome.
(Trees are our friends and "Prakriti" means nature is worthy of worship).
15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb....!
Follow "Aditya" philosophy
16) You want a "Guru"(Guide/Advisor), Go ahead....
Just accomplishe Gyaan(Wisdom).
It's call "Gyan Yoga".
17) You don't want a Guru....
No problem.

The simplest translation of dharma in context of sanatana. Is eternal behaviour of sole present in living human body on the face of this planet. Religion is not exact translation of word dharma.

The literal meaning of the word HINDU is:
1. Shaiva Agama Meru Tantra: Hinam cha dushatya Hindu rityutchchate priye.
Meaning: Mahadeva says to parvati: Oh dear! one who renounced ignorance and inferiority is called a Hindu.
2. Shabda Kalpadruma: Hinam dusyati iti Hindu.
Meaning: One who renounced ignorance and inferiority is called a Hindu.

Didn't like the question where she said 'How do you conviclnce people of what Sanadana Dharma has to offer' . Why should anyone convince anybody about Sanadana Dharma. One should learn it and experience it by themselves. It is not a religion that you have to 'move in'. Question like these resembles the ones people like Zakir Naik asks to non-muslims with the intention to convert them.
It is an exploratory interview. And questions are therefore geared to mixed audience.
A westerner who has better understanding of India than many Indians
We don't pressurise, bribe, joke on, insult to convert others (don't know about Iskcon, I don't like them). They start their search, to find themselves, take a path of their own and decide themselves to embrace Sanatan Dharma. If they don't want to convert it's okay. This is our Sanatana Dharma.

I think you said it all in your introduction. Maria loves India and the culture so much that she decided to take on an Indian religion, Hinduism is not the way. It doesnt help the soul, and Maria decided to become a Hindu so she could be accepted and mix in with Indians. I love France and French people, but i am not going to try and become a French person. What i will do, is go against the grain and look for what is truth in society and spirituality. The thing is when a person is truly Christian, the society and culture is purely Christ. I do not have my own identity, my identity is Jesus, i am inspired to do as He did and to react the circumstances and situations as Jesus would.

At Least you could have given good quality microphone to her. You people gave her a cheap microphone that only works when held as if she is trying to swallow it. Worship the One Supreme Creator, Not the created things like, objects animals as personal deities...The uneducated hindu failed to distinguish between the true supreme being and deities. In order to remove this confusion Kindly shun all Idol worship and concentrate on One All powerful supreme being. so attaining the salvation will be easier, You need not wait 1000 births. The goal of every hindu is to meditate on supreme being removing all idols. This is higher stage in worship. Kindly practice from the very begining and teach your children from the very begining to worship Supreme being alone without keeping any Idols in from of you.
