They make me miss my home planet so badly.
👽🖖
It's okay.
@@FuzzyDancingBear to leave your dog in a hot car
never forget ✊
Mmm..I think I saw you in my neighborhood back there..
You just don't understand how much I love this band. They spit in the eye of all "coolness". I love Deerhoof. They are the truth.
I understand 😇
Truth.
I couldn't have said it any better
This.
Deerhoof is what's real.
I just discovered them, I have to agree
About ten years ago, I saw them live in Houston. Greg was drumming so hard that he broke the stool he was on. He played in an awkward crouch for one song until someone brought him a steel chair replacement. The man is wild.
Was this at Numbers? If so, I might've been at that same show!
I hope to someday have half as much fun as he has while drumming
Huge huge huge drummer
You guys remember when life didn’t suck? This reminds me.
lol yeah
That hits right in fresh wounds
100%
the best youtube comment ever. thank u
@@porridge10k you’re welcome.
I love revisiting this video. It perfectly captures the beginning of a new era for Deerhoof, with a lineup that would hold tight and finally reunite the incredible Dieterich/Rodriguez duo (ex-Gorge Trio). Ed is so modest here, yet to take his modern rock god form. 💓
absolutely love ed, hes super wacky and weird and i love it
Thank God music still exists.
Even God knows this "music" sucks!
sure
god knows that you are an imbecile, chump.
Who me? Why? I just liked a song, what is your problem.
sorry, blerc, that reply was directed at relpitstudios.
Why does this sound better every time I hear this? Also why does this session smoke so much more than all of their albums (I like Deerhoof, but this entire session is just sooooooooooo good)
This session was indeed amazing but I have to say their Boiler Room set is probably my favorite bit of recorded music ever.
this set is what hooked me on them, and it took me a little while to really appreciate their albums. to me it feels like their albums lay a simple foundation that lets them really expand freely on the source material and provide an explosive live performance. the album versions really hold their own and they're so good at improvising that the live shows leave you blown away.
@@singer3188 This and the Boiler Room are both insane!
the precision with which they play is so very precise. 😎
A year in retrospect honestly am so grateful to have seen thid band live, amazing energy something i won't forget
I've only recently discovered Deerhoof (through David Shrigley), I still can't help but laugh when I listen to it, because it's just so ridiculous in a good way. They tick all the right boxes. Probably the silliest, funnest, most positive music I've ever heard.
the most postitive and funny band i ever heard is "Infant Annihilator"... just watch the video "decapitation fornication". is beautiful.
NoLove DeepWebbb Somehow ...I don't believe you.
You should check out Kero Kero Bonito. They also make silly, funny, positive music haha
Great drummer. really holds the groove together.
Dang, these kids make being in a band look fun...
R!ght on. Kind of a hard task! Lol.
I think this is there best sounding recording on utube. Plus I love Greg's minimalist drum kit 🥁
I don't understand why people hate the vocals so much.
This would only be half as interesting without the vocals.
the vocals are rad! those people are out of their minds!
Those are the perfect vocals for this type of music, in my humble opinion.
What?! What people?!?
@@willburbur3793 I could see that being a thing but I honestly believe people look at music as a means of identification rather than art. Most are afraid of what people with think of them listening to this. They're too afraid to like something so different. I think it's sick. Been a fan since 2009.
Satomi is the sweetest...she is awesome
this is the first form of deerhoof media i ever saw or watched. i was instantly captivated by their sound, and now they are one of my favorite bands. everything about their music is refreshingly unique, and i just cant get enough of deerhoof. blows my mind that people can be so harsh about them. i respect the fact that some people dont like deerhoof, and if you understand that other people have a right to enjoy it, hate it all you want. but dont complain and insult them and the people that listen to them just because you think its not "good music." stop defining all good music by whatever boring classic rock or hip hop or metal you listen to, and keep an open mind. thanks!
My new favorite band! This just became a great fucking day!
Saw them tonight in France, that was freakin awesome ! You got to see them live !
I met all of Deerhoof at a show at Mississippi studio in Portland a few years ago. Amazing musicians, and original songs! They are nice people, and took the time to actually talk to me after their show. Good that they are still down to earth!
Same. I loved their music before, but after meeting them and chatting across multiple shows, they just couldn’t be more friendly people, generous with their time.
I bumped into this band when I was checking Monareta a cool Colombian band. Jeez these guys are just awesome. Love the fresh sounds
That drummer is a beast !!!
greg truly is a beast
i've never heard of deerhoof until now (just watched premier guitar rig rundown with them). i like this i have to say. will have to check out more of their music now :-)
You will not be disappointed.
Infectious smiles, spreads joy! Love it!
Reminds me of bands like the Luttenbachers, Orthrelm, Hella, and Don Cabellero, but with a bit of a quirky pop aspect to it.
i just said lightning bolt reminded me of hella like 15 min ago
CHECK OUT GORGE TRIO
3:12 hits so hard geez
I’ve never seen a hi hat like that in my life
It's a stack.
I used to love this band sooo much
Watching this video with the same enthousiasm since 9 years
Reminds me of Beefheart at times, the guitars at least.
I got that same vibe.
ok time to go back and visit my beefheart, i keep seeing this come up when i watch Deerhoof vids. thx.
yes it does! I'm 65 been a beef fan since my early 20's..great musicality in Deerhoof..
More like The Shaggs, even she make a reference when she say "foot foot" like "My Pal Foot Foot" by The Shaggs
Not blues enough. It's just because of the fuzz guitar.
Fantastic snare sound
Yup. Cymbals too
This is complicated, grooving on these fluttering time signatures and changes. Good stuff
@@squeakysquawk4678 Well, the beginning slow bits are one measure 4/4, and then two measures 4/3, and then repeating. If you count it as 4/4 it doesn't work.
@@bananapepper9559 4/3 isn’t a real time signature
@@lincolnd0 must've meant 3/4, sorry. Probably better to count it in 10/4, lmao
best drummer ive ever seen live, what a band
God DAMN I love them.
Friggin awesome! :D
I love this! 😇🌹

The drummer is great
THIS, is rock and roll.

Lolzz
Love drummer dude's Mitch Mitchell style :)

If you want tendonitis, start a deerhoof cover band. Absolutely amazing.
Tks....................
The best minimalistic drum kit

Ian's. people say the drummer isn't important! As a drummer this guy is an inspiration
Who says that?!?
My people said no such thing!
Anyone know what pedal Ed is playing during the verses?

For as ansolutely filthy as they sound they are about the tightest band Ive ever seen play live.
Good track, Ainsley Dunbar on drums ;)
tight as a gnat's chuff
Greg used to have a hi-hat?
Thats a big hi hat
I've owned this album since it was released and loved this song to death. Today was the first time I looked up the lyrics and they are all non-sense. Doesn't change anything!
How about those ride hats hahaha
far out
Trashy but scooped at the same time I can dig it.
Great sound ! If you like Indie music and find underground artist, I suggest you to discover a new one by writing *"Niko Laetailleurs"* in the you tube search bar. Hoping you'll find some good vibrations...

I got kicked out of a deerhoof show for smokin weed out front.
I was blown away. Did security think anyone sober was anywhere near this?
Hahaaa sickness
Is it true the singer wasn't even a musician?
