It makes me sad when people talk about Jin being the most "self-centered" on the team, or being "overconfident", "selfish", etc. People think, because of his "worldwide handsome" jokes, that he must be super into himself and have an enlarged ego.
The thing is that Jin is the member I relate to the most- you can see in the beginning how shy, and doubtful of himself he was, and how hard he worked to live up to everyone's expectations and become good. He talked once about how his mom used to have nothing to boast about when she talked about her son, and he wanted to give her something to be proud of.
The constant jokes, the self-praising comedy, is something I use to hide my own insecurities, and I feel like I see so much of that in Jin. He uses humor to increase his own confidence. In reality I think he's one of the least self-secure members, so I hate when people think he has an ego.
I would love to see you react to the song "Awake" that Jin helped compose, which they mentioned in this video. It was one of my favorite songs of all time, and is about his concern and struggle to live up to his potential.
Honestly he is the selfless in the group.
it's because these people don't see that this "brazen, overconfident silly guy" is just the stage/performance persona Jin has taken for himself to be more entertaining to the fans. BTS Jin to Kim Seokjin is like "Sasha Fierce" to Beyonce. He's actually very selfless, magnanimous and often would make sure that the fans are entertained even if it makes him look silly
It's saddening that they see Jin in that light but he is honestly sacrificing himself just bc he wants his dongsaengs to be comfortable with the atmosphere. He fills them up with his own to give comfort to the other members for them to ease and let loose. People needs to know how selfless he is really. He's the most thoughtful person I've ever known.
He hides his emotions and showed armys his cheerful side. I just hope that if its too much for him, he could just maybe tell armys...but probably not gonna happen.
I've never seen Jin mess up a choreography on stage .... sure he isn't as good as the dance-line in dancing but he's now better that before and can easily be complimented as a good dancer ....
But he never messes up choreography or vocals on stage...
He worked so hard ...still working hard....why peoples can't appreciate that! ....

Every time i watch this documentary i cry. Jin is the most humble human in thia world. I don't say that bcs hes my bias. I said that bcs is the truth. He is amazing. He inspires me to be better. So im so thankful. I love u jin💜💜💜
Yes! He always does his best but he doesn't express outside. It's Korean style humble. He expresses sometimes like kidding because he is shy to express.
For example he donated Unichef for children regularly for a long time. But he didn't tell it anybody. And then yesterday he became a member of UNICEF Honors club. He didn't want to announce it but UNICEF persuaded Jin to be known to promote others donation, 'Goodness will breeds more goodness'. It's Jin's personality.

Jin actually uses his goofiness to make the members feel comfortable whenever they are at some variety shows or interviews bc he doesn't want them to feel awkward. He's very selfless when it comes to his lovely dongsaengs. We stan Kings😩💓
Its good that BTS has Jin and his amazing personality. It balances the group. He can be Hyung to everyone and at the same time he plays around with the younger ones. They influence each other in a good way and a lot of silliness as well.

Jin is the best oldest brother that BTS has. He really works damn hard and I am really proud as a fan. He always wished for his birthday that BTS will still live together even they are in their forties or fifties. He really loves the members.
Once, I watched a variety Show and they talked about BTS crazy dance movement. The MCs talked about RM an Jin being the weakest dancers in BTS but they can be the best dancers in other group.I forgot the Show name, but they really appreciated all the members.The fact that Jin is such an amazing guy, learning, singing and danceing with no background is not easy!!!

Jin is the shyest member, he gets embarrassed when the attention on him is natural, so to speak, something he hasn’t prepared for and he said that he makes everyone laugh because that’s where he’s chosen to get his happiness from. It’s a beautiful sentiment but as his fans, it worries us, as you can’t sustain always putting yourself behind everyone to make them happy. It’s always heart warming to see a Jin appreciation video. I’ve been requesting this. Believe it or not there’s still so much more about him that makes him my ultimate bias although Im OT7. For example:
- Jin is from a wealthy family but he gave it all up to share a dorm room with 6 other “messy” boys. He used his own money to buy food for them, took cookware from his house to use at the dorm, drove Jungkook to school every single day - the man practically raised our 15yo maknae, he changed Jimin from a serious person to the more lighthearted fun loving mochi he is now, V said he loves Jin the most, RM is thankful for him to take a step back from the eldest hyung position to let him lead the team but support RM in other ways. If you notice in most American interviews RM sits next to Jin coz he said that calms him down 😊
- Regarding his voice, his coach said Jin didnt improve his voice. He TRANSFORMED it.

If you have a bias (favorite) then you dont love all the same, but give attention to the others, speak of all. It's so much more beautiful and respectful to the others beautiful boys. Jimin was also almost kicked out of the company many times (7 times if I'm not wrong) during his 1 year as a trainer because of his dancing style (he was a contemporary dancer and bts was hip hop)

Thank you for reacting to this video. As a long time ARMY, I've never actually watched this particular video, and I'm so happy I was able to watch it with you. I admit I'm one of those fans who didn't appreciate Jin and his contribution to BTS initially, didn't think his talents matched those of the other members. I hate that I thought that way, because success is 90% hard work, blood and sweat and tears. And Jin exemplifies that.

The journey or development of Jin is so amazing. He went from the shyest and less confident of the group to the goofiest guy who loves to make people laugh and say he’s handsome and confident. He’s still shy, but he doesn’t show it anymore, cause he loves to make the situations happier and positive for his members. He’s truly one of a kind 💜

This documentary is a little masterpiece.
I think Jin struggled a lot with his new role as the oldest in the band. In his family he is the maknae and all of a sudden he had to fill the shoes of the oldest. As the oldest you have a lot of responsibilities and authority. And most of the time the vibe a group is having depends on how the oldest one is managing himself and the group. I think Jin took a long time to figure out what kind of hyung he wanted to be. Therefore he was quiet and insecure. Sometimes that's hard for the ppl around to deal with...especially when they expect a form of leadership. When I first got into BTS I thought of Jin as an outsider inside the group. I didn't like how they were always making fun of him and how quiet he took it. But with time he found his niche and grew into a confident hyung who is able to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere within the group. He is serious when he needs to be and can be the hyung when they need him to be. He is able to push them up the hill secretly without being arrogant or bossy. His personality is far from childish and I really admire his mindset

Watching Jin's epiphany performance in Toronto he really stood out to me. Jin was so confident and beautiful hitting those high notes, with the audience singing along with him you cannot help but cry. Jin has a beautiful soul and with the recent event with the fans saying he's a bad dancer, they never took the time to know him. I don't think jin and the members would let that hurt him, right after the fans said that jungkook immediately said 'were perfect'. Love these boys and love your genuine reaction
