See that..now we on the same page. Props to my man Mr. Stambler for a remarkable job on re-working the score to fit into the director's cut of this film. Also loved too Boardman's score for the theatrical version.
not yet...you can check through the links I listed through description if you can. Thanks for your suggestion. Soon I may post the original main title that's even longer than this. Find out the featurette of the Payback Director's Cut I got posted on my channel too as well.
I'm with Scott's take on that....I believe the difference between Boardman's main title for the theatrical cut and Scott's main title version for the director's cut (still to me Brian's original cut) all got that gritty sound taste and yes have a great homage to those themes you seen from Peter Gunn, French Connection, Shaft movies, Superfly, the Dirty Harry movies, etc....thing is do your research and do a quick view on both scores from this picture. Hope u understand
i been looking for that last melody at the end where mel collapses by the parking meter i cant find the melody. so if ya find it let me know . thx in advance
What. This is pretty but it's nowhere near as exciting and gritty as the Chris Boardman Main title. That music was partly what made me love Payback. Anyone agree? Kudos for post though
Yes I agree I bought the movie on Blu-ray and I was disappointed nothing to do with a dynamic music of Chris Boardman I don’t know why they do stupid things like this change the soundtrack of the movie
I completely disagree. Stambler's Main Title was genius. Just kidding. The Title you are referring to resembles a fondness for David Shire's Taking Of Pellham.... well executed.
Both themes work for each film...This has that 70's grit to it....Nice work Scott Stambler...
written about 3 am and recorded while my kids were asleep. Hence the muted picking style.
Good job sir!

what is the slow acoustic guitar piece heard in a few scenes it doesn't appear to be anywhere.
I prefer Chris Boardman's Main title of Payback

I like this theme more than the original.
can someone rip the soundtrack from the movie or something? we need this!!
go to Scott Stambler's reverbnation page for that
@imthebrother Have you got the shower theme from the Director's Cut?

The shower theme is called ''First Wife''
