Loved the video! I live in Tennessee but we have relatives in Alabama and was invited to come work the summer on one of their friend's scrimp boats. Mom said I was too young, 15. I have regretted that my entire life. I did however spend the next summer in Myrtle Beach SC at my uncle's campground, [Lakewood Family Campground] helping clear and build camp sites. That is another story for another time. Have a blessed day and keep up the good work, my friend. PB
I don’t know if you’ve had kids yet but when you do. Promise yourself now that when that young man or woman wants to go spread their wings let them go!
Born and raised dulac Louisiana bottom of the boot ...I prey yall have a nice blessed season be safe we just left out again on the boat just hit 80 box 4 days stay blessed 🙌
Best video yet. I was able to go out on a shrimp boat in Panama City while stationed at Tyndall in the 80's. One of the best experiences of my life. All it cost me was a case of beer and he gave me all the shrimp we caught in the few hours we were out. First time i was introduced to Queen shrimp. Keep the videos going...love it.
These dudes know what's up when it comes to shrimp! Matter fact, day soon I be there!!!! 1979 my high school trip. I learn talk Louisiana bi yu. New Orleans y'all!! Rick Fort Worth Texas!!!
Very informative to the people who never knew. This is how it’s done in a local seafood community every where. My memories from fernandina beach in NE Florida
Ain't nothing like taking a nap after a long day catching shrimp or fish and waking up to have a nice seafood boil. Think it's time for me to go back to grand isle.
The mystery fish is a Violet Goby, they can get up to about 28 inches in length, they are near blind and have a modified anal fin that acts as a suction cup to latch on to stuff. They are often sold in the pet trade as dragonfish and mislabeled as freshwater, but they require a very specific salt content to thrive, so catching one is a good sign the ecosystem is healthy.
