We didn’t love the ones for the younger grades, but this one does look more appealing for the same reason you stated. We so do a very literature rich curriculum, so this just makes it easier to balance that.
I’d like to know what grammar concepts and mechanics are covered and what needs to be known prior to taking this course (or what does the course assume you know). Also, what does the spelling aspect look like?
The spelling list in the back corresponds to the weekly vocabulary list. I don't have my kids work on spelling anymore in high school. The grammar looks like normal higher level grammar concepts. It has good explanations and I don't think a prerequisite is needed for the grammar lessons.
do you think it is possible to use this curriculum for certain aspects? Like skip grammar pages or skip communication days? just wondering if it would still flow ok if I were just to purchase it for certain aspects that I find are missing from other curriculum I am using for english credit. thanks for any help you can give
Thank you for showing in depth. I think I will use this for my ninth grader!
I think of all the RUclips homeschool mamas, you are probably closest to my style of education. I get super excited when I see a new video from you!

Thank you for such a thorough review 🙏
Thankyou! That's exactly what I wanted to see. I am definitely thinking of using this
Was totally planning on using something else, but this definitely has my interest now! Thanks for a great in depth look into this curriculum!😊

I think it would be easy to separate out grammar. The grammar lessons are clearly marked at the top of the page.
How do you grade this currriculum? Can the reviews be counted as Tests?
You can use the weekly review as a test or quiz. I grade by how much effort they put into it and how well they know the material.
