- This is a combination of a few runs of my personal horn collection from August and September 2016.
We start with my 2009 Ex CSX Micro Precision AirChime K5LA. The 5 bell is very dominant like most MP K5LAs earning it the nickname the screaming banshee. I no longer own this horn.
Next is my Ex Union Pacific Leslie RS3LR. This horn was coated in diesel soot when I got it. All I needed to do was giving a bath in Simple Green and swab out the power chambers. Real nice sounding horn
Next is my 1996 Ex BNSF AirChime K3H. It came to me as a K3HA, but the 4A bell was missing it's diaphragms, and sealed shut with JB weld. So the 4A bell was swapped out for a straight 3 bell, and sounds great now. Hands down the loudest horn I own
and last is my Ex Erie and Lackawanna Leslie RSU3L. This horn was a basket case when I got it, and was repaired. We found out something wasn't quite right while running and took the horn to the "shop" to see what went wrong. Turns out it needed a minor repair, and was back in full working order, and a 2nd run was made.
I hope you're enjoying the horn honks so far.
