That female apologist sounds like Melissa Dougherty. So glad to hear women thinking deeply. We need more of them.

So I had to look up Melissa and wow I really do sound like her! Hello, I'm Courtney that called in. Thanks for your encouraging words. Yes, I agree that more women need to stand strong in the Bible and be bold in proclaiming it. This is one of the reasons I started my channel. Shalom!

I enjoy hearing your dialogues with Manny. Your loving and patient interactions with him are a blessing to watch. I pray he comes to faith in his Messiah Yeshua. ❤

When I was young I read Job and I thought God was bullying Job but he wasn't he was reassuring them that he knew what he was doing .I realized that when I got older.Because God says to job "who is this who darkens council with words without knowledge?"God was giving him his council the truth of himself which is such a profound honor no wonder job repented of his harsh thoughts about God.

"I concluded decades ago---that the purpose of Genesis 1 is [purely] theological." This statement by Dr Brown says it all about his close minded view on Genesis and why even with all his training in ancient Hebrew, he can figure out clearly the meaning of "yom" everywhere else based on context and grammar, eg "beyôm" (in the day) meaning when or sometimes an unspecified time period, but in Genesis 1-11 it's somehow unclear? Apply the same grammatical interpretation method to Genesis 1-11 and there should really be no confusion as to what "yom" means pertaining to the days of creation. I used to think he gives a lazy answer to this question, but now I really think he just takes a lazy approach to interpreting it.

Actually, lazy probably isn't the right word. Because you have to jump through a lot of theological hoops to get past the plain reading.

I stopped following him for this same reason but due to different topics. He became unimpressive the more I realized how self-serving he is in how he portrays himself and how cultural his answers are. If you're really about the Truth he doesn't suffice - it always feels like something is missing. He's good for those who are immature, though, I suppose.

It almost sounds like the caller wants to explain away the need for a savior, which I think is clearly contradictory to the message of the whole of scripture. Explaining how a prophecy doesn't point to messiah may help you deny Jesus, but it only does so at the expense of denying a core message of the whole.

    Dr. Brown
Seems a pretty neutered synopsis of job .... better to tell how he first prophesied of a persecuted savior
“But ye should say, Why persecute we him, Seeing the root of the matter is found in me?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ...
🤔while we’re on job could you also identify Elihu
“Did I fear a great multitude, Or did the contempt of families terrify me, That I kept silence, and went not out of the door? Oh that one would hear me! Behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, And that mine adversary had written a book.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭
“The Spirit of God hath made me, And the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. If thou canst answer me, Set thy words in order before me, stand up. Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭
“Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found an atonement “
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭
Job seems to go full messianic 🤩🤩🤩
