God this is so high quality. Looking forward to this man.
The way that these are edited I get so into it like I'm watching a professional sport mixed with a narrative historical battle. So fun.
As an easterling player, I really love Jordy's play style (and his army looks gorgeous)
Love the competitive batreps! and cant wait for higher points games aswell!
Thanks for the comment mate! We have a bigger one in the works at the moment (It's going to be massive!)
@@ConquestCreations 2000 point armies?
A fantastic game which had tough malestrom rolls for both armies.
A tough player for Jordy to face at the start of the league.
David has some really good troop movements.
It is amazing that it actually went exactly how David predicted, line vs line galadrim will grind them out.
Very fun to watch the battle play out.
Really like the way Dave moves his models!
By the way good game, sick armies and battlefield!
Totally agree. Most people dont measure well and this is a game of millimeters.
Beast of a bat rep, the guys explaining what was happening and rolls they needed to succeed made it really easy to follow along! Well done guys!! Can’t wait for more!
I love how easy it is to tell whose models are whose because of the really unique Easterling bases.
Quite enjoying these battle reports. Quality and presentation has gone up and up. Very watchable and effective narration. Nice one!
These videos are great, really loved Season 1 and looking forward to see who wins out this year
Really love your passion for the game. The vision of open source STL files is pure awesomeness! Im a 40K and AoS player but to keep it short this game seems awesome.
Greetings from Sweden.
These are really fun, thanks for doing these videos :D
New to your content, but absolutely love it!
Played around with MESBG many years ago, and starting back up. Only a handful of miniatures has made it through several moves, and the tabletop gaming scene in northern Norway is non-existent (or very hard to find).
So living vicariously through videos like this is what keeps it feeling like a community for us isolated, living on the edge of the world, players 👏
Beautiful armies guys!
Absolute nice to watch your videos
Ayyyy Let's go Lothlorien! 💪
Thanks for the batrep Jacob! It's because of your channel (and Zorp) that I've gotten into MESBG. I have never had so much fun playing and painting. I made my own board with terrain and everything. I have over six armies and am currently painting more. Mostly Mordor/Barad-Dur & Minas Tirith/ Rohan (expanding the Pelennor box set). I have only been plying about a year but, your subtle techniques and battle play have finally sunk in and I can 'see' what's going on. Thanks again for getting me into a great game and hobby!!!!
This exactly describes myself! Zorp is a legend too and over lockdown got me back into the hobby after 10 years or so! Enjoy
And myself!
Thanks for the comment mate! I means a lot to know I am helping people get more into the hobby!
Seems to be that Jacob has a big hand in bringing people in/back into the hobby. GW needs to pay him some commission because I also got back into the game after 10 years out. I’ve gone from 2 armies to 6 😰
I'm so glad that all of you see the benefit of watching Jacob and his mates play. I wish I lived closer (I'm in rural NY) so I can get some games in with other people. Playing against my self is laborious with all the rules to remember but I LOVE IT!!! Carry on dudes!
Such a good match! You guys put out the best bat reps for MEBSG btw.
Awesome! Looking forward to more.
More to come!
“Not too sure what [the new hero] does. But hopefully what it does is die” haha, class :)
Let's goo something to listen to while painting my Iron Hills
I’m surprised you don’t have more followers. I love these battle reports.
Hahahah I wouldn't mind a few more. These take a long time to make!
Unfortunate for the losing player (I wont spoil it by naming names). Good game played well by both players. Thanks for sharing!
What a bat rep. Great to see Loth in action might try that list myself.
Great Bat report was nice to see this Galadhrim army. Unlucky Jordy, if the game had ended the round before you would have won. Can't wait for the next Batrep
Love these reports appreciate the effort and planning that goes into it! Sad to see easterlings downed round 1 but well played élèves
Glad you enjoyed it!
First comment yay!! Fairly new to your channel but really love the great content!! I have just been going back and watching your first champions tournament, whilst getting back into the hobby myself. Keep up the great work
Welcome back to the hobby! Thanks for the comment
Happy that David won, looking forward to seeing more of him (and his hat)
The shield on that Celeborn is just stunning!
Both armies look amazing, great paint jobs 👌
nice! finally its here! I was beginning to fear for the series 0:-)
Hahah don't worry it was just uni exams holding me back the whole series is filmed so its just about editing now!
#Lothlorien! As a long-time Lothlorien player, I'm not sure that the Elves counter-calling the first Heroic Move (which they lost) was a good idea, but then again, they didn't know they'd get priority so much in a row, right? The knight should have gone around much sooner (he spent a few turns sitting in the back), but I'm glad they finally pushed through the ranks to make it in the end!
I think David was concerned that the Easterlings were planning on disengaging for a turn and then linking up with Amdur and attacking as a united army. Which didn't end up happening becuase of where Rutabi was positioned
That is an absolutely beautiful painted Easterling army!! That game could have gone either way!!
Very fun, thanks
Good match guys
Awesome!! Rooting for lorien!
fantastic board
If ever there was an advert for using the nice looking dice box at the other end of the table! LOL Good game though
Haven't seen that mass Galadhrim Court list style before. Definitely something to think about as a LL guy.
Its played seldom.. but after i heared about it in the GreenDragon Podcast , i tried it and never went back haha
Yeah mass fight 6 pikes is a lethal army to go up against definitely worth giving it a shot!
I play this army regularly. I take galadriel+haldir+rumil, shields, galadhrim court and a sentinel at 750 pts. no cav, no archers except haldir and sentinel. In over 10 games I still have not been defeated.
@@stefaanf8499do you have the list somewhere? I would love to try it out. Cheers
Oof gorgeous models and gorgeous board! Is that a secret weapon set…those things are gold dust!
Well spotted! It is a secret weapon set- I bought heaps when it was an initial kickstarter and it is great to play on.
@@greendragonpodcast2362 well you’ve made it look gorgeous! I wasn’t anywhere near the hobby when they came out so I’m very jealous
Yeahhhh!!!
Holy heck guys those modular board pieces are AMAZING, Did you guys make them or did you get them from somewhere??
"Hopefully what it does is die"... Sly look to the side 😂😂
Just started with Lord of the Rings this year
May I ask where I get this scenarios to play them ?
We would like to try something different from the missions in the rule book
Hey, are there any tutorials on how to make the gaming board you used here?
Nice batrep as always. Wouldn't the Easterlings be allowed to re-roll the dice to see if the game ends?
Yes but if it had carried on would of been an even bigger loss for Easterlings
@@reapper6660 Which doesn't matter in a knock-out-format but gives you a slim chance to win
@@leonk.3739 but doesn’t make for a good bat rep: dragging out the end for another 5 minutes whilst the remaining easterlings got trapped and died wouldn’t have been good to watch. I’m glad Jacob called an end to it on the 2
@@Become_The_Hero Well it's a competitive batrep so I wouldn't mind if a player makes a decision that is objectively better
Jordy here!
I can appreciate wanting to scrape .001% shots at a win. If it was a C2 army I'd try to force it get the break and hope they run.
Galadhrim guard are C6, even IF I won priorities and killed into break and somehow won every combat David still takes it. As mention this would be horrible viewing; so I just rolled with the loss!
Great table! May I ask where did you find those trees? Is it an old Warhammer release?
They are the old Games Worhshop trees. They were a great kit. This board was Jeremy's you can find his instagram here: instagram.com/jeremyhunthor/?hl=en
Let's hear about the minis, terrain, and battle mat.
How do y’all get all of y’all’s miniatures? I’m thinking of getting into Middle Earth SBG
Games workshop is your starting point. There are also lots of alternative miniatures for 3d printing or available on etsy
Them tape measure moves looks like your moving a lot further than you should
When are we getting the next instalment?
How did you create this awesome Gaming Board ? Just fantastic how it looks like. Your videos are the best
This board was Jeremy's you can find his instagram here: instagram.com/jeremyhunthor/?hl=en
I think for Blood and Glory to proc, Amdur has to be the one to have killed Haldir.
Also, what is initiative? David mentioned rolling for it a few times?
Great game guys. i haven't really seen Lorien played quite this way before. I do like Celeborn and David played him well here. Good use of the drum by Jordy to manuevre into position so well.
You are totally right about Blood and Glory. Since all the strikes happen simultaneously we have a house rule that if the character with blood and glory gets at least one wound in all the rolls that it counts as their kill.
David would have been referring to priority! There are a few other games that have a similar mechanic as priority but its called initiative.
Thanks for the comment!
@@ConquestCreations Strikes do not, and did not, happen simultaneously. But if this is something that you've house ruled, then that is cool.
I get that it is simpler, but would you have awarded Amdur the kill as well, in assassination or contest of champions?
@@ConquestCreations Interesting choice to have such house rules in a competitive game. Jordy even rolled the dice separately. it adds an element of risk to a combat like that, as to when exactly you roll those strikes.
Hey guys Jordy here!
The short of it; trying to fixate on wordings to PREVENT rules as intended is not something I'll ever try to push. If Amdur dealt 2 wounds to a model but Rutabi literally dealt the killing wound, I absolutely believe blood and glory should proc. This was discussed before rolling dice and David agreed
Given that was the case for ease and speed of viewership (of those less rules inclined) we rolled Rutabi on camera to speed it up as it's essentially a sure kill with her re-rolls.
@@jordymoss1662 Sure and that's a fair way to play it if it's house ruled and your opponent agrees, it is just quicker and easier. It is not correct though, as put by conquest and is a strange thing to do in a competitive game. And obviously, as the player with B&G, you want to play it this way as it benefits you. Nick asked above, would you have also awarded the kill to Amdur in a scenario where that matters?
Love these tournaments, but where are the rest of the games?
Check out the Conquest Champions Season 2 playlist
Epico
Where do you get your terrain for this board? It looks awesome
The boards are from secret weapon miniatures (I think they are discontinued), the ruins are osgiliath ruins from gw. The trees are from gw (with heaps of leaves). The tents are scratch built using instructions from Shadow in the East.
@@greendragonpodcast2362 Ahhh damn okay, awesome thank you though :D
It's really hard to keep up when players roll their dice in random spots across the table.
Gg for the elves, beautiful painted elves, but also easterlings, nice gameplay
16:33 :D
Think Easterlings could have rerolled the 1 or 2 to end the scenario. Also they get +1 courage when broken! so important
Your totally right. They got their plus one courage but Jordy didn't re roll because he didn't think there was anything he could do and we needed to get started filming game 2! :)
Was anyone else kinda annoyed David didn't wear the hat throughout the battle?
This is a battle report that will cut away from the action on the table, summarize it voice over, to make sure we have enough time to interview the players about what they want to happen. I love what you’re doing, but the language of the editing doesn’t align with the title of the video.
Just show your audience what’s happening.
I fundamentally disagree. What makes this presented as a competitive match is understanding what the players are trying to do and what their objectives are. We could just show what happens but without explanation of why it could seem completely nonsensical to less experience members of the audience.
