You go to school. School is no joke it's college accredited as a trade. You're taught true skills and trade industry pro levels. Do the work get more money. I'm a journeyman and I'm teaching the 9 and 16 this December join us in New carpenters classes.

How can i join?
I have no experience in framing but I do have the tools needed to do the job as I bought them over time to prepare me for the job. Do you need any experience in order to get in? I’m a quick learner and I’m ready to get this going!
Call your closest Carpenters Local and ask to speak to a business agent and tell them your situation, idk where you’re at but most of the time you need to find someone who wants to hire you and then they’ll sponsor you into the union. Or we have a brothers Keepers program where you go and train for a few weeks and the Union will bring you in and you’ll be able to get hired directly by a contractor. Union is the way to go.

Go to their website and check your local union.. or try to google what’s your nearest carpentery school. they most likely have a program and they will help you. I was in the same boat. but i figured it out..
