A nice mix of motive power in Dunkton - even a Permanent Way Department making an appearance towards the end. And none of the minifigs seemed too fazed by the invasion from a galaxy far far away, which is reassuring!
The permanent way rolling stock is really cool, probably my favourite of all the wagons I have. Giant Sith and Troopers wandering around certainly don't faze my town folk, they've seen far weirder things, me in a pair of shorts for one :P
Out of all the steam trains you have the only one you are missing is the Toy Story Wild West Train it is actual customizable like the Constitution Lone Ranger Train
Graet Vid. I love how you intergrated some cityscape into the layout. I also like the bridges nice actitecture!!!! And I also love how your layouts are so well put together.
Awesome. You're track set ups are inspiring. Kept writing it off but your get the job done don't worry about making it look ultra good attitude has really helped me. Thanks
It doesn't look ultra good??? Seriously though, this setup and the filming took days to do, having fun while doing this is important as well, plus without doing, there's no way to learn anything. Hopefully people just have a go with their own collections and have a bit of fun in the process.
It does look good. What I mean it's not over built with realistic features likes rock work and realistic bridges like you would see in a expensive lego city. I found that bit intimidating. But the technic/system hybrid works great and allows for some awesome designs that otherwise would be out of reach for me and most people. Your proving that you can do great things in limited space with minimal parts. I love what your doing. Keep it up.
Nice video!! I'm nearly 46 and I'm well "chuffed" with my Lego trains!! I've got the city cargo and high-speed passenger ones, the cheapest place by far I could find was Argos, people wanted as much if not more second hand for them! I want to get more, almost impossible as I don't have a credit card or debit card, PayPal needs a credit card or debit card, bummer !!
What kind of maintenance in required on these trains? Do the engine wheels need replacing? How about the tracks? Do they become unusable after a (long? short?) while?
LEGO is very durable, I haven't had to replace anything yet. I imagine the motors will wear out eventually but I haven't had to replace any yet and my trains are used fairly heavily for video making. Some of these trains are now over three years old.
Thank you for your response! It does come with good, encouraging news! I have started to discover your videos and the complexity of the circuits clearly indicate how they are not an afternoon's-only business. If anybody has got into LEGO trains fairly recently, like me, they certainly can learn a lot from watching these videos even if they are not made to be explicit, such as what is a reasonable incline or how to make a bridge. Speaking of bridges: are suspension bridges a good idea for LEGO?
One more question: are there times when you just lie down and watch the trains roll? No desire to shoot any video footage, no thought about views and subscribers, no plan for a new layout and ensuing video, just enjoying the trains passing by and the sound of the wheels on a lazy afternoon with your family and dogs (should you have any dog)? In other words, is the passion still burning high or has it been superseded by the, just as noble, in fact, need to satisfy your viewers' ever growing desire for ever more train material? Oh! A rather long question has this last question turned out to be!
I have a weird theory. In theory, couldn't you use a 9V motor and hook up a pf extension cable (the one with the 9v adaptor on one end) to it and use PF lights instead of the old 9V light bricks?
+Endothermic Madness I bought the three different sets needed to build the MOT so there was no motor. I then added the PF, the IR receiver is a little bit hidden which can be a bit troublesome but it works fairly well.
That still has all the original parts in it. I haven't changed anything there, that's why it was running on its own. I couldn't use a camera and two different controllers.
DunksterBricks, you should probably get a black train plate and put PF into it. The Lego RC train system wears out quickly and after probably 5-6 vids, the motor in it will wear out completely. Just letting you know since you have slopes on your layouts.

@@DunksterBricks it seems like the lone ranger train is struggling getting over the hill
Nice.

Thanks, was the goal of this really, just getting some LEGO together and having some fun.
That's amazing.
Love the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is it called? Also AWESOME VIDEO!!!
I always like the ride on views. Always looks like the train is going faster
It is fun to see a minifig view of the track :)
Nice
great set up, what's next is a 3 tier set up right.
The three tier railway is proving tricky.
As allways great video.
Cheers, Jakub, I've added the lights and Red Cargo train video to my list of things to do.
DunksterBricks I'm looking forward. ☺

Could you make a train crash at train station ?
Is that Deluxe Cargo Train, Constitution Train, and My Own Train I see?
Did your My Own Train come with a 9v motor?
+Endothermic Madness I bought the three different sets needed to build the MOT so there was no motor. I then added the PF, the IR receiver is a little bit hidden which can be a bit troublesome but it works fairly well.
DunksterBricks, what did you use the Deluxe Cargo Train's electronics for or did it not come with it?
That still has all the original parts in it. I haven't changed anything there, that's why it was running on its own. I couldn't use a camera and two different controllers.

+Максим Бондаренков the railway survived a week in my house and I filmed some other trains running on the track. This is the extra footage.
