    Great review!
    Bosch is coming out with Powermore 250wh (1.5kg) external stand alone battery for bikes with smart system. Remove the 750wh (4.3 kg) and you have approx 3kg weight saving!

      I haven't looked into the compatibility of the Powermore. I'm not sure it's powerful enough to power the CX in Turbo mode, even though it's used with the 600W SX motor.

      @@EMTBVideos According to Canyon whom i spoke with yesterday, the Powermore is NOT compatible with this model of StriveON.

    Thanks for the great review. I have one in Medium, first E-MTB. It's a really decent bike.

    Hi, so I’m not the only one with battery issues? My 2022 Trek Rail 9.9 has been in the bike shop for the past 10 weeks due the motor turning off mid ride. Trek’s solution is a new bottom connector and hard foam pads to stop the battery moving, but that didn’t fix it. Trek are now saying that they’re going to swap my parts onto a new frame/motor so they can properly diagnose the problem,but I’m still waiting for that to happen, and I’m not the only one.

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. The Trek Rail has a different integration of the battery than the Strive:ON. The Rail has the most easily detachable battery og prettye much any integrated battery bike. It can be difficult aligning the battery mounts on the Rail though. Shops have repeatedly sold bikes without aligning the battery mounts when preparing the bike for delivery. Afaik, Trek made a dedicated tool for getting the alignment right. But this should be a well known issue that your shop already is aware of... I can't think of anything else, but I guess something else could be wrong with your bike.

      @@EMTBVideos Hi, thank you for your input. My local bike shop has given the bike to Trek to sort out. It’s a waiting game now.

      Dealing with the same type issue on a Mondraker Carbon Crafty; Bosch is sending a new connecting wire as a first step to diagnosis. Good luck!

      @@ZippidyMTB Hi, I finally got the bike back from the shop last week, after more than 2 months. Trek Australia ended up swapping my parts onto a new frame/motor. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. Good luck with your bike ZippidyMTB (great name btw) 😁

    Like the removable battery. How do you think it rides compared to the RM Altitude Powerplay?

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  9 месяцев назад +1

      I only rode the Altitude PP briefly, a few years ago, so I don't remember the details. But my impression is they're similar in some ways. They're relatively burly bikes designed to be more playful than they look (: I can appreciate the improved bum clearance of the mullet Strive:ON. But relation and proximity to the bikeshop would probably be a major factor for me.
      Here's my Altitude PP review btw. ruclips.net/video/u93XAopHHrk/видео.html

    Thanks for a great review! I’m 175cm do you believe the size M will be the best choice

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah. It's difficult for me to say, but I would assume M is the way to go. If you're happy riding smaller frames then S should work too, but M seems the safe bet.

      @bitet1 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@ClaudioSilvaSousagot levo 23 carbon different league than shimano . In fact I've moved from e800 totally silent on eco mostly not using higher support at all 😊

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  10 месяцев назад +2

      The EP801 could be a tad more powerful at low cadence, typically on slow, technical climbs. The Performance CX was more powerful at higher cadence compared to the old EP8 (EP800). The Bosch had a slightly higher cut-off speed than the EP800 so the Shimano would struggle to keep up in some situations.
      The EP801 is improved, cut-off speed seems comparable to the Bosch. I haven't yet compared them directly, but they seem similar. I suspect the EP801 could be more powerful down low while the Performance-CX offer more power when pedaling above 80-90 rpm. Possibly.

    Bra video igjen!
    Merker du noen forskjell i følelsen på performance elite gaffelen på denne og Performance gaffelen på Wild? Jeg tror vi er omtrent samme størrelse og vekt.

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  10 месяцев назад +1

      Takk for det.
      Jeg brukte litt tid på Performance'n på Wild H10 før jeg ble fornøyd. Den opplevdes litt hard for en lett rytter som meg og jeg slapp ut mer og mer luft. Til slutt begynte fronten å "kollapse" i svingene nedover og jeg måtte øke trykket igjen. Jeg fant til slutt passende lufttrykk. Mulig det hadde vært enklere om jeg fjernet en token, men det var et par tyngre ryttere som brukte sykkelen så jeg åpnet aldri og sjekket tokens.
      Jeg foretrekker Performance Elite. Den er komfortabel samtidig som den har god støtte nedover i vandringa. Jeg hadde vært fornøyd med å eie begge, de er gode (og dyre) gafler.

      Godt nyttår!
      Takk for svar. Hvor mye veier du?
      Kan det hende gaffelen ville blitt noe mykere hvis du gikk for 170mm performance?
      Jeg ser på hjemmesiden at Performance gaffelen på Wild er E-bike tune (skal være mykere), mens Factory 170mm e vanlig tune. Har nettopp bestilt meg en M10 og lurer på om det er verd å oppgradere til Factory.

    • @EMTBVideos
      @EMTBVideos  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@petterhelland7178 Jeg er ca 70 med sykkelklær+sekk. 38 Performance er en fin gaffel, og jeg hadde forsøkt å få den til å fungere før jeg vurderte å bytte den ut.
      Jeg tipper at det ville være enklere å sette opp 160mm Performance om jeg hadde fjernet 1-2 tokens (volumspacere). Gaffelen leveres originalt med 3 tokens.
      Det er vanskelig å vite om 170mm Performance hadde vært bedre. Den kommer med 2 tokens fra fabrikk og vil kanskje føles annerledes.
      Gratulerer med nye sykkel!

      Performance Elite is Fit4 damper and performance is Grip1... I have both models on 2 bikes.. the difference is obvious... Fit4 is a much better damper... if you don't have Grip2, Fit4 can do the job too

      That's a difficult one. The Canyon might have the edge for me simply because a big size M suits me (181cm) and my riding style very well. Both bikes are great, so I would let the details decide. Have you got a trusted LBS selling Orbeas or a Canyon service partner near by? Do you need a detachable battery (Canyon)? If not, there are upsides with a fixed battery. Du you hate or love mullet wheels?
