I thought to myself, I need to go back to the start and watch Laura's video's from the beginning. Then I saw how many videos there were! Then I thought, good, lot's of inspirational catching up to do.
I am Brazilian, and thanks to the Google translator I can comment, laughs .... I loved the videos very beautiful I fell in love !!!!! Another one inscribed congratulations !!!! A hug from Brazil to you !!!!
while I normally don't like blocky fixtures, I was highly impressed with this whole build. particularly with drilling a hole through the screws to hang it. that was very ingenious, in both simplicity and effectiveness.
One of the neatest projects I've ever seen, very stylish, I thought that the brass plate and wiring assembly was very well made, the editing was also fabulous, and I loved the music.
oh .. that was really nicely executed. The touches that you added to 'finish' it off (the brass plate, the hidden hangers) really brought the whole piece together.
This is what i call ARTWORK. Real master craftsmen work. I want that lamp. I'm really impressed. Especially the way you hid the wire connection. Regards an impressed electrician.
Laura you have to have a degree in engineering, art or fabrication. You work with wood, metals, electricals, epoxy resin, plastics, you handle every tool, machine or sp equipment with ease. That's the only way I can explain it. Your work is really best quality. Probably degree in architecture. Any way every video is amazing ( except the champagne sprinkler video). Anyhoo, thanks for the lovely videos.
Fantastic craftsmanship. Your tricks and techniques are ingenious. I've only watched three videos and I've seen something simple little thing that's more efficient and give a better result each time.
You do beautiful, creative work. I believe that you are one of the real geniuses of the maker community. Therefore, I ask this for purely selfish reasons as I enjoy your work so much and greatly desire to continue doing so: please, please protect your eyes. Yeah, it's a momentary hassle, but blindness is worse. I'm an old man; humor me.
What a great build, so much attention to detail. Glad to see you use those new WAGO electrical connectors, I started using them last year, and I am hooked, they save so much time, so much better than the old screw blocks..
I don't think she did. It is a standard form of "security" screwdriver that is available off the shelf. What is really cool though is that she thought of using it for this application. A very creative project and style. I'm impressed by her learned skill and / or extensive inventiveness.
Love the build, very minimalist. The screw pots for the hanger wire is also a very nice touch. So strange, I just put up some salvaged track lighting in my shop and I used those exact same lever action wire connectors! I bought them years ago and just used them about a week ago, now I see you using them from across the Atlantic, such a coincidence! Well... technically you used them two years ago, but I just SAW this video... you get my point. :P
I came here to see the first uploaded video, but I doubt this is the one. If it is, you rock. Very well done. If not, I wonder why you didn't keep it because it's always nice to see the learning curve. Sehr gut gemacht.
Same here, scrolled all the way back to see the first project (sort to oldest video is removed?). Well, I guess this is the first Video, Not the first project. My first project was one nail in a piece of wood at age 6 or so. For Laura Kampf it probably was an entire camper interior at age 3 😜
+Laura Kampf Positive comments are easy to give when they are deserved. I am glad so many are supporting you! Keep it up! Looking forward to what you share next.
Looks like the perfect addition to a tiny house you might make more than 7 years in the future!
I watch this about every six months.
Still fresh, still everything it needs to be.
Here again.

The combination of your videos plus the music you choose is an extremely relaxing experience!

Cool to see how much has changed in the past 7 years.
Very nice!

+Goff Daily thank you! i had the idea while building the lamp...i am super happy with that system and unsed it since for a couple other projects
Fantastic. Minimalist design. Sophisticated craftsmanship. Great video.
One of the neatest projects I've ever seen, very stylish, I thought that the brass plate and wiring assembly was very well made, the editing was also fabulous, and I loved the music.
thanks, it is still a favorite of mine :)
It still never gets old, even 3 years later.
oh .. that was really nicely executed. The touches that you added to 'finish' it off (the brass plate, the hidden hangers) really brought the whole piece together.
I love LOVE the cable through the screw idea! And, you know, all of the rest of the build. Amazing thing.
