Tango's task: Have a conversation with Mumbo.
Mumbo's task: *quite literally the opposite*
I think Mumbo's task might have helped Tango's actually, since one on one conversations with him would have made it more obvious to Mumbo that he's copying him because they'd be in front of eachother. So Mumbo's task was better for Tango's, but Tango's made Mumbo's harder lol
It was genuinely so inconvenient to both of them lmao

I was watching Tango forever in the corner next to Mumbo, and I just knew it was suspicious but didn't know exactly what the task was! No matter whose POV you watch, this whole task thing is hilarious! :D

Out of all people you’d have to shadow Mumbo might be the toughest to mimic, he never stands still
Personally, I think Gem would be tougher, as Skizz showed in the first session.

I would say, especially since it didn’t get called out, it was a blessing in disguise cause everyone’s probably tunes out Mumbo’s movements or is way more focused on his entire behavior and motive considering he was confusing everyone, so they in turn didn’t notice Tango much and so much undead horse movement going on that you stop paying attention to it lol
Mumbo was not the one to have to follow around. He was constantly on and off the horse, hitting berries and generally just being an accidental menace to Tango
This feels like Skizz and Gem all over again

The coincidence of mumbo trying to always have in his cone of view everyone he is having a conversation with to be sure about his task and tango always trying to be behind him to mimic his movements is funny as hell
task idea: act extremely paranoid to everything that’s happening around you. If someone approaches you with an intent to guess your task, scream and run away
Task idea: Act extremely paranoid and suspicious for 30 minutes, but if anyone mentions tasks in that time stop talking altogether until the end of that interaction

As someone who's watched most perspectives at this point, it's really interesting how it didn't look like Tango was doing a great job of copying from other perspectives (and I was looking for it), but from his it looks flawless. Pretty cool.
Yeah! And I also noticed he would pick something Mumbo did and then wait a moment to do it too, Mumbo walks up a block turns, then gets back down, Tango does the same but after waiting a moment
@@Evie0hpart of that is just the typical delay between seeing someone do something, processing what they did and how you can do it, and then executing it yourself. (Usually under a second)
And the rest is definitely just trying to see the full movement Mumbo did before getting half way through and realizing he doesn't know what the other half of Mumbo movement was.
Knowing Mumbo's task and that interaction with him before Tango hands in his own is just hilarious! Mimicking Mumbo definitely is one of the harder people to have to mimic, I think, but Tango did well
Task idea: Build a shrine to **Player** and get them to guess that it's a shrine to them. You may not tell them directly, give them hints of any kind, or answer their questions about it.
Grian did that for Mumbo unprompted in his Escape Room video.
Making an egg out of Red and white terracotta would be the easiest way to do this.
I love how Pearl was so close to figuring it out after the horse race and got completely distracted
Saw Mumbo's video first, and it was so obvious Tango was doing something weird to do with Mumbo! But Mumbo was so focussed on funny stuff and giggling and generally being so Mumbo-ish, he didn't appear to notice at all! I was dying laughing, couldn't wait to see Tango's vid to find out what the actual mission was. Soooo well done!
Mumbo is a good choice for a person to imitate their movements with all the fidgeting he does xD

Tango, the entire ability of Skeleton Horses is that they are able to swim!

Seeing that task was so funny for two things! First, Mumbo just can't stand still in conversations, and second, this paired so hilariously with Mumbo's task.
I feel like Tango completed his task twice with how much time he spent around Mumbo
I would still have accepted Tango barely succeeding on his initial 3 attempts, but I’m glad he went for extra. So he definitely passed.
The secret tasks are my favourite Life series season gimmick so far.
Everyone was so focused on Mumbo’s behavior, Mumbo was so distracted with his own task. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Great for content.
And the decked out heart beat in the heart foundation’s heart would be icing on the cake.
Wouldn't it be wild if each of the Lifers had a series long task that needed doing and they needed to keep it secret from the audience?
I saw someone else mention that on mumbo's (?) video, and I agree that would be super cool. More obvious on some people than others, like bigB being just really weird overall and his backrooms base, or Grian not having a single base for more than one whole episode

I remember Grian making a comment about Mumbo never standing still. He is ALWAYS moving. Lol. I’m pretty sure that’s what inspired this task.
Except this task chose mumbo randomly. Grian explained when he got the task with Joel that the input is something something “player” something something, and then it randomly decides out of the 17 who that player will be. So it was completely random that it was mumbo.
I'm not sure if all the tasks are like that though. I think some might be specifically designed. The first day Tango had a task to get Scar to talk about Star Wars. It seems to much of a coincidence for it to just happen to pick Scar for that task.

Task idea : Pretend that youre muted and talk to your audience about weird stuff loudly for 1 minute, you must do it while having conversation with 2 or more players, you restart the timer if one of them ask or tell you youre unmuted

Everyone would say "you're unmuted buddy" that has to be a hard task. Word will spread too easily after people keep saying that.

Having watched mumbo and martyn, I never knew Tango's task and the conversation with the two while Martyn is trying to guess their tasks is so much funnier.

It's crazy that I watched a few other povs and not in a single one did I clock on to Tango copying Mumbo. I was just glad to see him much more this session with others. Like when Grian called out Tango for hanging around a lot i agreed that it was different but i never would have guessed he was mimicking movements.
Task idea: build a hole, put at least one hostile mob in it, name it, and then invite everyone on the server to visit your new pet in the creepiest way possible.

I feel like Tango is using this series to blow off steam from the Decked Out. I'm here for it
Task idea 1: Throw a party for a past life series team (BEST, flower husbands, Ranchers, bad boys etc.)
Task idea 2: Get all Secret life members to throw you an item. Any item.
Task idea 3: Get 5 people in a row NOT to give you a heart when you ask them. If someone gives it to you, you need to restart
imagine if Gem got that first one. That would be so sus

Much like Scott's task about figuring out someone's task and then completing it and how other peoples tasks that have already been completed don't count, I think that people who have already given their heart away shouldn't count. But with that in mind, I think that three people in a row is too difficult if people who have already given their heart's don't count. I think it should just be three in total instead. Almost everyone gifts their hearts fairly early in this series so if you had to get three in row and had to restart, by the time you restart there is a high likelyhood of the task literally no longer being possible because of people having already given their hearts away.
TLDR: For the last task idea, I think that people who have already given their heart shouldn't count, and if that change is made then I also think that it shouldn't need to be three in a row and instead just three in total.

Great idea, but I don't like tasks that say, "you may not be called out." Yellows are trying to call them out anyway and it makes failing too easy.
Task Proposal: You must choose one player to become their” knight in shining armor” for the entire session and refer to them as “my liege” at least once without someone pointing it out.

This would be most on-character for Tango or Ren, because Ren is all about random roleplay, and Tango just turns hyper-gentleman vocab whenever he feels like it.
Task idea: Convince at least two people about a fake ‘minecraft fact’ but make it as believable as possible. If you’re called out, say you heard it from someone else but move on to a new player to trick

11:45 Everyone knows that people on transplant lists waiting for life saving organs have to meet certain criteria. For instance, if you need a liver transplant, drinking will jeopardize your position on the list and could get you removed entirely.
Task idea: Find a victim. Do not speak to them at all through out the entire session. Communicate with weird noises. When asked what is the matter stay silent.
Secret Task: Tell 5 people that you are going to turn in this task in 1 minute, but have to have exactly either 10 or 0 people watch you turn the task in. You need to turn in this task within 10 minutes after telling your first guest. No one may suspect anything.
Oh jeez. I'd say 7+ or exactly 1 since there are only 13 members this season

I love the difference between friends and best friends at 34:35. When tango falls BigB is like “oh tango!” And skizz just yells “TOP!!!!” & my favorite “stop getting hurt because of your dumbness!”
Task idea: Take a piece of cobblestone. Trade it with another player in an 1 for 1 trade for another item. Then trade the item you recieved in the same way. Repeat this process. You succeed if you manage to trade for one of the folowing: A diamond, a gift heart, a piece of ancient debris or an enchanted item (no books, iron or better)

Task suggestion: you are only allowed to turn left the entire session.
Task idea: Convince someone to give you their shield while they are in a dangerous situation. If they ask if this is your task you loose.
Task Idea: Wear your skin back to front and successfully make it through 3 conversations without being spotted. You must hold an item during at least 1 conversation, You must crouch for at minimum of 2 seconds during at least 1 conversation. [Maybe a hard task idk] thought it might be good cos the armor wont give it away

As someone who watched Mumbo first, I genuinely had no clue about Tango's task, he was so inconspicuous and now I'm excited to watch what really happened
The fact that even within alliances there is some tension because of the tasks makes this series so fun to watch everyone's point of view
task idea: "accidentally" let three people know three different fake tasks. you fail if any yellow names guess one of the tasks you told someone.
Task idea: make an entrance that looks very obviously trapped but isn't, and get someone to trust you and walk through it
Most of the time its like Mumbo is doing the potty dance. He is moving so much!! This was a good task and you nailed it! LOL Great eps! It was fun to see you and Mumbo "work together" again. I can't wait to see Mumbo's pov or someone's to see you moving around as much.
Task Suggestion :
Held a secret Green-only meeting for 5 minutes. This task still applies even if the Task Owner is not Green. If any Yellow OR Red players (except Task Owner) joined the meeting in any sort of way including sneaking, the task failed. You are allowed to share this task ONLY to Green players. They won't fail if this task failed. If any Yellow or Red players type anything on the in-game chat, no Green players should respond during the secret Green-only meeting. If they do, the 5 minutes timer pauses for 10 seconds before it resumes.
Martyn better not die first y’all gotta rig the machine for him to get 3 hearts for 2 sessions so jimmys canon event happens again!
Task idea: You must talk like a wise wizard guy ONLY around greens, to confuse yellows and reds when you don’t do them around them
Funky hard task idea: spend the rest of the session in 3rd person perspective! Not a crazy hard task, but would be funny for the audience and inconvenient for the player (also I feel like it shouldn’t be an easy task because it could kill audience retention for you guys)

Task idea: get Etho to answer 5 Naruto related questions. When you're done, drop a log in front of him, yell out "substitution jutsu!", then run away.

Task Suggestion: rig the system for Gem to win, without Skizz and BigB noticing!
No, she didn't win. Since there are more than nine players in the running for the heart draw, Skizz put them in two droppers and then had a third dropper decide between the two finalists. So Gem's block came out of Dropper A and Lizzie's from Dropper B, then both went into Dropper C. Then Lizzie's block came out of Dropper C, meaning she was selected and the only thing left in Dropper C was Gem's block by the time Tango looked in Dropper C.

Task Idea: "Hide and Seek"
You are a hider, hide from (Player Name) for the rest of the session, if you get found, you failed.
You are a seeker, find (Hider's Name) for the rest of the session, if you don't find them, you failed
Doesn’t this require at least one of them to 100% fail? Maybe it doesn’t need the seeker part, or at least the seeker part shouldn’t fail the hider, I don’t like the idea of both the tasks guarantee at least one fail
@@Evie0h I honestly love the idea of one failing a task (hence why I thought of this task), it would be so boring if everyone in the server passed, it would be a little bit better in my opinion if atleast one player failed
Task idea, for 2 people
1) Defend player X from all damage, you fail the task if YOU take 5 or more hearts doing so. Player X may know about your task.
2) player Y has a task to defend you from all damage. You win the task if player Y takes 5 or more hearts of damage doing so, but you may not be the one causing the damage
The fact that Mumbo doesn't stand still actually was a big help to your task, because it will be easily noticeable if someone does few movements and you copy them
Tango has a different tone of voice in the life series, can't quite put my finger on it what the difference is, but I can hear it. It's more bubbly and higher pitched I think 😂
Task Idea- your task is to convince someone go and do a hard task together, once they trade their task in for a hard you succeed
Task idea: Act so out of character that at least 5 people express their confusion out loud.
Task Idea:
You must talk to 5 different players. Each player you speak to must have the next username alphabetically in the playerlist from the previous player to spoke to. For example: Grian > ImpulseSV > Inthelittlewood > LDShadowLady > MumboJumbo. If you talk to a player whose username does not come next alphabetically, you must restart the task. Group conversations may count towards this task, so long as you only address the alphabetically correct player.
Why is no one talking about how Gem was absolutely robbed??

Task idea: Use “Y’all’nt’ve” (as in “you all should not have” in two separate conversations with two separate people without being called out. If called out, you do not fail the task, but can no longer attempt this task in a conversation with that person or people. You may not pay people to not call you out.

#suggestions : give 3 people a useless gift and try to convince them it’s super useful. They don’t necessarily have to believe you as long as they take the gift and you make some kind of pitch for how the item is useful

Build a 5 block long stair on a public path with one obvious wrong block and get someone to fix it without trying to talk them into the help.
Sucess if it‘s still there at the end of the episode.
(Maybe at least 50-100 Blocks away from the border)
omg! i watched mumbo's episode before this and noticed tango spinning around when mumbo spun around but thought tango was just having fun playing into whatver mumbo was doing. this makes so much sense!
Task Idea: Interupt a conversation and completly change the subject. To succeed you must get the people that were having the conversation to devote their attention to your subject change.
The season of Third Life I decided to watch Mumbo and Tango. This was so hilarious watching from both perspectives.

I love how Martyn was talking about how he can’t find out anyone’s task and then Mumbo spins then runs around him while on horseback and then tango does the exact same thing
I have a few secret ideas that I came up with a few days ago:
- Jump continuously for half the session.
- Trap another player in an obsidian box.
- Refer to yourself in 2nd or 3rd person and all other players in 1st person for half an hour.
- You are banned from using any pronouns for the rest of the session. You must refer to yourself, other players, mobs and items by name (doesn’t have to be the correct name). Your list of banned words includes - me, you, he, she, they, it and any other related pronoun.
- Follow another player around and copy everything they do. You can only complete your task if a yellow name player correctly guesses what you are doing (coincidentally similar to your task this week)

Task: throw an egg at someone that spawns one chicken (four for a hard task) if they thank you for it you succeed.

Task idea for 2 people: you and one other person have the same task but you dont know who this person is. find out who that person is and ask them if they have the same task. If they arent the one with your task both of the people with the task lose

You can only talk to 1 person at a time. If other people join in, you need to make a dramatic exit (as dramatic as possible) and leave the conversation. You can only stay in more than 1 person conversation for 1 minute max.
This is basically what mumbo’s task was this session

Hard Task Suggestion: Prevent a red from killing their target for the entire session, they may kill you but only in the exact same way as their current target, if you are the target you may kill the red but only in a similar manner as they intend to kill you, failure upon your death, their current target’s death or failure to comply to kill the red in a similar manner.
