    In this video, the third in the four videos about Joseph and Pharaoh's dreams, Rabbi Fohrman finally breaks down Pharaoh's dream itself. In addition to the layers of the dream, we explore the question of how God communicates with us today.

    Wonderful insight about kindness and God's speaking. Yes, the story of Joseph in Gen 37-50 must be prophetic as confirmed in Ps 105. The famine there
    is one of God's wonders. HE called it as HE also sent Joseph first as suffering with his feet in the iron like a lion and then exalted as Lord, ruler and redeemer. This reminds me also of the promised redeemer in Gen 3,15 the seed of the woman suffering the bruise of his heel but victoriously destroying the plan of the enemy.

    Isn't 7 representing Sh'mittah? Maybe more than relating to servitude for Rachel?

    Vayigash , Gen 44:18-47:27 Is Joseph's brothers entry into Egypt and Joseph revealing himself to his brothers. They Then tell Issac that Jacob is alive. It is not the Pharaoh's dream.

    Still doesn't explain why "cows" were used in the dream. And as cows are vegetarian eaters they wouldn't eat other cows. And you've totally left out Pharoah's second dream regarding the ears of corn. Why "corn".

    • @gaillee5747
      @gaillee5747 4 года назад

      Perhaps the reason cows were used because cows would mean something to Pharaoh as well so he would believe Joseph interpretation. Cows were Gods to Pharaoh. And I had read that many Egyptians were vegetarians hence the corn. They would not use sheep because they were abomination which is why the Israelites were placed in Goshen.

      Mistranslation. Corn is from the American continent and was not in the Middle East back then. It wasn’t anywhere on the planet until the 15-16th century

    Why are you comparing cows to human? Its not even biblical.

    And now my memory like an elephant makes sense! I can look back and see the patterns, see where Yah moved in my life. See where I was lead or denied access. Open and closed doors. He speaks. He speaks our language if we but lend Him our ear.

    The Egyptian leader that Joseph (PBUH) was subordinate to, wasn't a Pharaoh. Pharaohs did not exist during the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt.

    nice original explanation, but it doesn't fit the text: the Bible says that Yosef remembered his own dreams, not those of Pharoah. it's a stretch to say that "which he dreamed" is referring to Pharoah and not himself.
