While I’m clear on lowering grip on the shaft, positioning ball slightly more middle-rear and catching it before the sand, not trying to lift it up, I do not get how the nature of the sand will impact my choice of club or my swing. There is another golf You Tuber who posts videos under The Art of Simple Golf and if I am not mistaken there is a caption on one or two of the videos stating that Michele Low followers also watch the Art of Simple Golf videos. The reason for my raising is to find out if you have a golf partnership with the other you tuber in question or whether you endorse his videos. Thanks and regards.
I think a lot of people just go into sand-panic mode, instead of realizing that, from a good lie, it's not a radically different golf shot than from the fairway. Personally I like the hack of focusing on the top of the ball when in a fairway bunker. It seems to give me a better chance of clipping the ball clean.

Are you allowed to rest the club on the sand unlike the green bunkers?
No, it is still a bunker so the same rules apply
