As a 3-year resident of Oakland, the only time I’ve had anything stolen from me was BY California Highway Patrol. And OPD was never defunded. It continues to receive more and more millions of dollars each year at the cost of funding crucial community programs that PREVENT crime, so no one should be surprised that nothing changes.
This guy might have some restrictions with his speech. But what he said has an Immeasurable impact an undeniable truth, He speaks from his heart and from a place of experience that knowledge. And it's people like this or who are gonna help communities. Restore safety and peace and a crime free neighborhood..

Oakland needs a million officers. The problem rests with a certain group of people, not failed policies. Own up to the real issue. Blame others when you should be looking in the mirror. The neighborhood leaders should be speaking up against this lawlessness and trying to get the youths committing these atrocities to see the error in their ways. No amount of police is going to teach a community of youth, that grew up with no punishment, respect for their communities or neighbors.
