Maxing those preppers & centres to 5* is the secret to giving you much more zipline options (chiral bandwidth), but yeah, you've still to walk/drive to plant each new line (level 2 floats help and can be zipped with directors cut). I'm on my 2nd playthrough (this time with directors cut) and have stopped at the "make your way across the tar belt" bit (close to end) so that I finish off maxing the preppers and zipping & roading the whole map. I'm almost there.
Man must be nice having a good network of people that actually place useful structures. I have 90 hours in and got people placing bridges right next to each other or over small pebbles like what.... I built ziplines in Mountain Knot because hell no I am going through that snow and climbing up the rocky terrain, especially through the BT territory.
I didn't zipline my whole map but I ziplined the entire mountainous area. doing deliveries there is now more faster than doing deliveries on grasslands lol
I had a similar zip line system in my PS4 version but no one helped upgrade it or repair it in the timefall and snowy areas and it became more of a job just getting supplies back and forth and trying to maintain these things. Now I use the awesome trike transporter. Take a few PCCs just in case there are no generators around and carry a hefty amount of items and hit them hills. Woop WOOOOOOP!!
I set up my network and just tear down portions to newly maxed facilities, and optimise to 350m on all my ziplines. I'm online but don't rely on others' ziplines as most are poorly placed. I have it set to traverse the whole map with most of my ziplines in the mountains, i just have a few inconvenient distances to travel without ziplines, but those facilities have max connection levels, hence, little use to me anyways. Besides, I have well placed trucks and bikes for those travels for picking up orders, if other facilities in the zipline network lack them.
i was thinking about doing that but there's so much clutter on the map that i decided not to as it would've been hard to follow ... maybe i'll update the cover
I‘ll never understand why some online people build bridges in the middle of flat land (like you can see in 06:35). I have one bridge in my map that is in the middle of nowhere and ends in front of a little river. When you cross it, you end up in water.
I don't know if this is still the case, but on launch the joke was to build a bridge or timefall shelter and then abandon a vehicle on top of it. If the structures got networked into someone's world, no big deal, but if the VEHICLE spawned in their world it would be floating. This might have been fixed, or less people are doing it intentionally.
Those bizarrely placed structures are actually 'randomly placed' by the game's AI. You'll see a lot of these further into the game. In truth, there's next to zero 'real player' input into each players world - it's all game-generated.
I've greatly enhanced my play time of DS by installing cheats to disable chiral bandwidth limits. My network is closing in on the immaculate and comprehensive. The massive zip line network was a huge undertaking to set up, but it's a great "people mover" when you're fed up with a particular delivery, and with unlimited bandwidth there's usually a node a few minutes away. This big long line reminds me of that.

There's nothing more satisfying than setting up an entire area with zip lines, then blasting from place to place, up above BTs and MULES, in seconds.
Just want to mention ... there are 71 points in this zip line network. 37 built by me (34 by others).
Zipline logistics and climbing that fecking mountain are this games true boss battles.

What’s your Porter Grade… if you don’t mind me asking?

Pretty certain those people who build random bridges are just trying to score random likes from people. They need some Oxytocin in their lives.
I've been working on my own map-long zipline system, and yours is fantastic! I'll definitely be taking notes
upgrade to level 2 to get 350m space in between ... and as much as possible, spread them 300/350m apart
Step 1: buy a pcc level 2. Step 2: place a zip line. Step 3: repeat. Yes I know I’m an asshole XD
@@nugs2727 Step 1: max out those preppers to 5* otherwise you ain't building the zips you need!
Keep on keeping on
👍

Me too

My arm is aching watching this.
i just finished the game and am now currently trying to zipline my whole map
So this is what they meant by reconnecting people.

So satisfying to watch
dont know bout the others but for me its awesome ..
This looks just awesome!!!
Yes it is
Use these things on the mountains and through that BT area on way to chiral artist; but the whole map is too much.
Id rather drive.
YUP. Trying to maintain and upgrade them is a bitch.
10:47 is that Horizon New Dawn.
yes
*Zero Dawn. Dont you dare confuse that masterpiece with FarCry New Dawn lol
A fellow game player already beat the game and started to get bored. I recommend he goes on the ZIP LINE!!
Nice. My ziplines are just half of yours, even though I spent over 200 hours on the game LOL
Doesnt timefall destroy them?
They do, but you can repair them using chiral crystals.
damm good
I like zip line meow
I would have recommended that ever other Zipline or so to pull up the map just to show us where you are/how far you have traveled
i was thinking about doing that but there's so much clutter on the map that i decided not to as it would've been hard to follow ... maybe i'll update the cover

yeah, it's annoying, but you can dismantle other peoples structures in your own game instance

@@ChrisM541 Intersting, are you sure? I thought these are created by other players. Where did you get this Information from?
VERY late to the party, buut you can use bridges as timefall shelters for vehicles, just put them under the bridge and boom no timefall

Lol, you're missing the WHOLE POINT of this game - cheating on a game like this is beyond insane!
@@ChrisM541bruh fr 😂😂
It’s cool and saves time but for the people who haven’t completed the game yet. It ruins the exploration bit of the game.
25 minutes of my life watching this
I rewatch it myself from time to time
Longest zipline is 300m only... this is the longest zipline system
Not true. By upgrading the zip line, you increase the distance up to about 350 or so. Definitely helped me numerous times when setting them up.
@@jovenasorx7564 yup, 350 maxes the distance at level 2 upgrade.
✨✨✨✨✨
