This isn't any FAO. This is the flagship NYC location. It was basically a theme park inside with all the different areas. Only went to it once about 3 years after this. They had workers and performers for each area. This store sells a lot none of the others did. I think the saddest thing about this video though is that nowadays every kid that is filmed would have a phone or tablet now. Just doesn't feel right.
Tamagotchi and Giga Pets. I remember those things well.
People think Disney bombed stores with star wars junk, but I really don't think you needed that many R2's at the time. The phantom menace was like 6 months away and they were just gonna release yet more toys for it anyway.
I was working the Tysons Galleria store at this point, and our Elmos didn't even get on the shelves for more than a few hours before they either ended up gobbled up by waiting lists or (over)eager shoppers, to the point of having to break up a few fights!
It seemed like a simpler time?

Man, the quality on this needs to be better. I know VHS wasn't the greatest, but this transfer is really low-res and blurry.
