If you find yourself suggesting a smartphone or a cheap alarm clock as a substitute to one of these options then you don't have the type of issues waking up that these solutions are designed to combat.
The marketing team of Philips really deserves a reward. I mean look at this: they made these kind of people believe you need to spend a loads of money on an alarm clock if you have ''the type of issues waking up that these solutions are designed to combat''. Unbelievable.
@@EenMagnetronEdit:I'm a dumbass and missed the pointxD have you ever used a wake up Light? Because a wake up Light is so much better than a regular alarm clook. You go from ughhhh i wanna die, just 5 minutes. To a i had a very good sleep time to Start the Day. And Yeah 200 is overpriced you can get an off brand for around 30-40 and it's just fine
if you're normally snoozing 7 times before getting up, you are setting the first alarm too early. Better to sleep through the 7 snoozes instead. Every time you snooze, you're resetting your sleep cycle, not allowing you to get into deep sleep. It's counter productive. Set the alarm time to when you have to get up, not 7 snoozes early.
I have learned to never own an alarm clock that "jars me out of my sleep", I agree that starts the day out with anxiety before I even get out of bed, maybe even worse than the traffic driving to work. Got to give you credit for using it for the 5 days! LOL
Good video. For a good comparison you could also do the Phillips clock that you reviewed ($200) vs the lesser expensive version of the same thing. I think we got ours for $50 and it works pretty good. It isn't as effective after a few weeks but it's still superior to a regular alarm clock, especially in the winter when it's dark so much.
"I'm scared that it's going to wake my neighbours... my roommate... the whole neighbourhood!" LOL girl! Then you better get up and turn that clock off quick!

I need light to wake up . The bedroom in my new house stays too dark cuz it faces north . Maybe the light will help me . Thanks for the review 😊
I use an alarm clock on my phone. I decided to do a comparison. One was a little calm and one was loud and annoying. The loud and annoyingly one wakes me up but I turn it off and go back to sleep. As for the calm one, I sleep through it until my brother (who sleeps in the same room as me) wakes me off and tells me to turn it off which I do and then go back to sleep. Then my mother comes in screaming and that wakes me up. Moral of the story: parents are best at waking you up.
I used to put my phone in other room so that when it goes off I would go there and wake up... but now I just go there, turn it off, and then GO ALL THE WAY BACK AND HET TO BED
A sunrise alarm is useful for those who need to wake up very early, or countries that dont get much sunlight. Of course there are cheaper alternatives, some from philips as well. But you get what you pay for
I actually tried making my curtains open on an alarm with a motor and string for the same effect! Gonna try a cheap sunrise alarm first in case the $200 job doesn't help!
Bruh.... all you need is a couple of twin bell alarm clocks scattered across your room so you have to get up. Nothing like waking up in a panic attack because your room sounds like a bunch of death metal roosters
That is why i found a similar looking alarm clock that is more light waking then noise i don't like having anxiety when i wake up that is what my fire alarm, weather radio, security, or carbom monoxide alarm is for. Unless their is an emergency where i has to be on high alert day or night i want a gentle wake up i'm not a heavy sleeper.
If you want a terrifyingly loud alarm try the screamy meanie. That thinkg is so loud it will make you jump. Great video. I just got the philips and trying it for the first time next week. Already tried one like the cheaper one you reviewed. I hate being a heavy sleeper.
That second one , the sonic seems horrid to wake to . I hate being startled awake . Sometimes by boyfriend just telling me to wake up startles the crap out of me . I’m glad I’m not the only hard to wake person out there . It really is hard to be like this . Lots of people just don’t get it . I’ve even had a sleep test done . They say my sleep is normal. Hope you’re still enjoying the light . Is it still helping you ? Thank you 😊
Keep your alarm far enough from your bed that you need to physically walk to it to turn it off. If you can turn a light on before you turn the alarm off you’re golden.Once you’re out of bed with lights on it’s MUCH easier to stay awake and start your day.

Sonic alerts are loud as hell but unreliable poorly built junk. I have gone through 8 In four years. 2 lasted 1 day thank god for Amazon easy return. The easiest way to solve that snooze alarm problem is to move the clock away from your bed. Then you have to get up to stop it.

Then go back to bed........😴
