Lynx v Insignia. Wilkinson Sword Protector v Gillette Sensor. Clearasil v Biactol. Philishave v Remington. I've just realised how much the marketeers of the 80s wanted my teenage cash.
Fewer adverts that I remember here than usual (though the Remington one was a classic - one of the few US ads that really became iconic in the UK, I'd say), so this was more historical interest for me than nostalgia this week (simply an observation). And I'm sure I would've remembered the Le Jardin d'Amour ad with Jane Seymour had I seen it before - very young me saw _Live and Let Die_ and Jane Seymour left a _very_ big impression 😍🤣
Nice find on the CICA ad, Steve - I had no memory of that at all, but then the basketball player said, "it's one of those names that's spelt wrong, like haemoglobin" and all sorts of bells started ringing. (And I _still_ don't remember the trainers, but that line? Oh yes.)

That covergirl make up music was dangerously close to Chris Issacs Wicked Game there!
Don't think this product was featured here but since the late 1980s I've been using wet look hair gel.
Those 1970's, 1980's & 1990's were shown in Ireland & worldwide.
Wonder what film Once Shampoo used as inspiration for their advert.
Peacocks, even their tv ads are cheap lol 😂

Was that Linda Evangelista saying "From Chanel" at the very end of the Chanel No5 advert. Thanks.
Not a clue, I'm afraid.
No - it's the French actress Carole Bouquet (probably best known in this country for being a Bond girl in For Your Eyes Only)
@@El-RitmoOh ok thanks for your reply. Merry Christmas. Regards.
@@MG63 Thank you - to you, too.
Is the once shampoo woman well known as she seems familiar?
It's funny .. I thought that too but I can't place her. She probably just has one of those faces.
