I don't blame you. It's a beautiful song, would probably bring a tear to my eye if I got to experience it live. Sometimes I think they really underestimate the power of the Sun That Never Sets record. You where lucky to get so many songs off it in the setlist. Same goes for The Eye of Every Storm and the early 90's records. I could go on for ages, but I'll make this my closing statement: I love this band until the day I die.
I have never heard a band sound so good in that venue and I've seen plenty there. I heard everything I wanted to hear by this point in the show and when they broke into this song, I also thought I was going to shed a tear or three. From where i was standing, I was a little disappointed that the show didn't draw more people. I know the ticket price was a bit steep, but these guys hardly ever come to this area so i could justify it. Definitely got my money's worth!
It was a decent turn out, but since they had mezzanine seats for sale, I felt that show should have drawn more people. Outside of ticket price, I think a big problem in Providence is no one really goes out of their way to promote shows, metal in particular. Bands that stop in Worcester should come to RI. Providence has way more to offer than Worcester as far as restaurants and bars.
