I love how skating usually comes to creativity and showing your own view of stuff... Which is basically the definition of art. Saying that "if he was taken away the mods he would be just like everyone else" just says that you didn't understand the concept of the game yet :S

Honestly, and this is just assumption as I've never tried, but I think a lot of that can be done with custom foot placements being defined for the base trick it's being altered from. For example the tailstall footplate front foot under the nose. He could have set up tailslides (the actual trick the game technically registers) to face the feet in those exact positions where they line up like that while doing the trick. Meaning every tailslides he does he feet would be that way BUT for that one specific trick it looks proper. Thing is as long as his body doesn't clip the obstacle and his board lands grip up it will still register, even if say your back foot is jacked a foot off the board during it.
iirc you can add and delete stuff from the map creator and the change will show up in the replay editor. so for a clip like the brick hand plant, you could precisely place it under the hand, after you have done the trick
the grab over the cinderblock was probably done by adjusting the hand position on the indy with xxl3 grabs (dawg vinci's own newer grab system ) so it looks like he is reaching his hand out for the thing when he does an indy instead of grabbing the board
First clip, one-foot nose manny powerslide popped into the gazelle inward heel motion, filmed from an angle that looks like the foot that's off is underflipping the board? Genius.

To be fair, most of these tricks are done by tweaking and dialing in mod settings. I'm not saying it's easy, but I don't see it as being super skillful because of that. Very creative though.
If you are on pc that an be tested there is one spot left in the bracket of 64 for the XL Battle At The Berrics put on by Shades_Wade thats coming up ... Just a thought
