Last year there were large number of farmers who were compelled to sell onions at loss(same happened with tomatoes also) just bcoz they were not having any freedom of selling their produce outside mandi and cartel was buying it at very low price thereby farmers were compelled to sell at that price...it was just bcoz very high produce that year.... Same is happening just now onions had a massive produce cartels started working we will see rise in prices This bill will protect those farmers and break that cartel and hoarding of onions and tomatoes

APMC is from times of license raaj. It helped at a time when the market wasn't at competitive as today. Today sectors such as dairy enjoy so much of competition that even a player wants to sell at a price 2-3 rupees higher than market price, it's almost becomes impossible. Reforms are always welcome if laid down properly, but the fact is that we need to enter the next decade with an aim to become economic super power.

Competition is necessary, but safeguard is a must, if private player comes and overpowers the system then eventually due to less revenue and losses the mandis would close and price discovery through MSP would stop and again they would be in the situation of mercy of private players

ITC, a private player competes with Amul and they both compete with local milk vendors as well. Customer is the real king and the industry today generates more revenue than wheat and rice combined. If we don't trust in our own people's strength, then who are we standing for. Our farmers can deliver a lot more, provided they get access to the right resources and opportunities just like our cattle farmers got. The question really is, are we gonna help them. Private sector means anybody who isn't in the government, which includes most of us. It's gonna be upto the smart minds of India to take this further. Government can only provide support, we have to make a better India.

As a farmer of madhyapradesh I would like to inform you that. MSP is not ensured in mandis, only government procures produces on msp through the co-operative societies. Mandi buyers are also exploiting kisaan( mandi don't buys produce on msp !).
So this means Dhruv Rathee like licence raaj (like before 1991). Har kaam sarkar kre or babu kamai kre. Agr aane wala bill bura hai to abhi kon se kishan ka bhala hua hi india main kishan bahut poor hain abhi and at least we should look at new ideas positively (just let it impliment and even after some time, problem does not solve we can look for improvement). Ye ese hi hai ki sabhi chanhte hain sarkar reforms laye like(1991) and jb goverment kosish kre to sabhi ussi ka virodh kren. Fir kuchh din bad kucch log bolenge ki sarkar reform nahi kr rahi and will power show nahi kari better future ke liye. I think, it would be very easy for any goverment to keep waving loans to farmers and keep getting votes in return. If goverment is trying to go on hard path for betterment of future (at least try) knowing that it will hurt their own vote banks, we should at least give them a chance.

Some logical questions on the solutions you posted. 1.MSP legality kya yeh bhi ensure kar sakta hai ki a buyer compulsorily has to buy a crop of any quality at MSP or even at a lower price? 2. If every farmer would just grow MSP crops then any suggestions on problems that may create agricultural imbalance in the country and problems of the other non MSP crop farmers. 3. Can we as a consumer buy any quality of vegetables and agriculture commodities at the same price? 4. If all crops in the country are bought then what shall we do with the crops left in the country after consumption?
It's actually sad that people will still blame the farmers for protesting rather than the government for introducing ideas which aren't viable in the long run

Today sectors such as dairy enjoy so much of competition that even a player wants to sell at a price 2-3 rupees higher than market price, it's almost becomes impossible. Reforms are always welcome if laid down properly, but the fact is that we need to enter the next decade with an aim to become economic super power.

Competition is necessary, but safeguard is a must, if private player comes and overpowers the system then eventually due to less revenue and losses the mandis would close and price discovery through MSP would stop and again they would be in the situation of mercy of private players

ITC, a private player competes with Amul and they both compete with local milk vendors as well. Customer is the real king and the industry today generates more revenue than wheat and rice combined. If we don't trust in our own people's strength, then who are we standing for. Our farmers can deliver a lot more, provided they get access to the right resources and opportunities just like our cattle farmers got. The question really is, are we gonna help them. Private sector means anybody who isn't in the government, which includes most of us. It's gonna be upto the smart minds of India to take this further. Government can only provide support, we have to make a better India.

Mandi buyers are also exploiting kisaan( mandi don't buys produce on msp !).
So this means Dhruv Rathee like licence raaj (like before 1991). Har kaam sarkar kre or babu kamai kre. Agr aane wala bill bura hai to abhi kon se kishan ka bhala hua hi india main kishan bahut poor hain abhi and at least we should look at new ideas positively (just let it impliment and even after some time, problem does not solve we can look for improvement). Ye ese hi hai ki sabhi chanhte hain sarkar reforms laye like(1991) and jb goverment kosish kre to sabhi ussi ka virodh kren. Fir kuchh din bad kucch log bolenge ki sarkar reform nahi kr rahi and will power show nahi kari better future ke liye.
I think, it would be very easy for any goverment to keep waving loans to farmers and keep getting votes in return. If goverment is trying to go on hard path for betterment of future (at least try) knowing that it will hurt their own vote banks, we should at least give them a chance.

1.MSP legality kya yeh bhi ensure kar sakta hai ki a buyer compulsorily has to buy a crop of any quality at MSP or even at a lower price?
2. If every farmer would just grow MSP crops then any suggestions on problems that may create agricultural imbalance in the country and problems of the other non MSP crop farmers.
3. Can we as a consumer buy any quality of vegetables and agriculture commodities at the same price?
4. If all crops in the country are bought then what shall we do with the crops left in the country after consumption?
It's actually sad that people will still blame the farmers for protesting rather than the government for introducing ideas which aren't viable in the long run
