GMC TERRAIN P219A, P0300 FUEL INJECTOR

  • Had a 2012 GMC Terrain come in with engine light on with codes p300,p219A. After verifying mass air flow sensor, oxygen sensors operation. It was determined the car had an fuel injector problem. On a side note as I removed the engine cover I also notice all ignition coils was new along with the oil control valves or commonly called VVT valves.

    Having the same issue with my Honda Fit 2018 changed the coilpacks spark plugs got the injectors tested they are good now ima check for carb build up

    My 16 sivlerado has the same codes and I've changed the spark plugs ive change the air filter as well as cleaned the throttle body as well as Maf sensor and nothing ive even tried sea foaming it. That work for me last year but this year I got the same codes again and they wont go away.

      How does the fuel trims look? Ive had a few GMCs, and Chevrolets with p0300 and ended up being an failing injector but these were the direct injection motors. just keep in mind theres so much things that can cause p0300 code.

      It has the 5.3L and it also has a P219A code as well

      The bank 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 on both are negative and sensor 2 on both banks are really high

    how to pull that fuel injector rail after removing 4 bolts of the fuel rail?

      You just have to work on it they can get stuck sometimes. Just use something you can gently pry with and pry one end little by little. This was a while ago but that’s how I usually do must direct injection injectors. Good luck

      i finally found a way to pry it with a long pry bar against the bulk part of the block near the oil filter housing then another pry bar on the other end but i put a flat piece of wood at the end so it will not crack the block. then pull towards the front at 90 degree angle not 45 degree. putting some pb blaster helps too but not much. other trick is using a paintless dent puller slide hammer with attachment hook from bearing puller or separator.

      @@beanlam6223 yeah it’s pretty ridiculous how tight they can get. I had same problem with the v8s that have DFI

      diesel fuel injectors are typically much worst and u certainly need a to prepare a list of words to bleep lol

    How did u clean the valves with the head still on engine?

      I rotated the engine till both valves on each cylinder was fully closed and i sprayed some throttle cleaner in each one let it sit until the carbonation got soft I used a small pick tool to loosen the lager chunks then I blew it out with compressed air. Doing this one cylinder at a time and charged bout an hour per cylinder because it was time consuming and obviously there is a proper way to do it with a tool I didn’t have that tool so I wasted a lot of time on the car and wanted to get payed for other work I was loosing out on. I also do the same procedure for Volkswagens with the cold start misfires issues they have

    Hi Mr. My car has this code. P219a it's nissan versa 2017 sv. With that Rpm is not good. Can you help thank you

      SAEB HAZIM that’s an air to fuel ratio imbalance code you have to figure out what’s causing the imbalance I can tell you that most Nissan have Mass Air Flow sensor problems. But without using a scanner and physically having the car I can’t tell you for sure what your problem is.

      SAEB HAZIM Nissan Versa only has one back it’s a 4 cylinder. Check your O2 sensors data to see what they are doing and if they are working properly. That alone can help you determine some of your problems. If you have access and tools check fuel pressures. Look at mass airflow data. Check for vacuum leaks etc.

      @@Mark_conor sorry I was in nissan company they checked my car and they told me your fuel pressure is not good it needs 51.53. Maybe my fuel pressure make this code?

      SAEB HAZIM I mean I’m not checking the car physically but that makes sense as well if you don’t have enough fuel pressure you’re lacking fuel witch can cause an imbalance of too much air not enough fuel and the O2 sensor would pick this up and you’d get this code.

    how do you reattach the fastener clips when you put the injectors back on the rail?

      I think I used my hand or some piers I forgot bro honestly, but they were a pain

      could be a few things, you just need to check the injector the plugs, the coils, the valves for carbon build up etc in my case it was the injector.

      @@yeceniacastro video is about explaining the issue of the code, if you cant pull-up an intake manifold and pop out some injectors i recommend you go to a professional 👍🏾
