Thanks, Skog! Can't tell you how much peace-of-mind your Adirondack videos afford me as I sit in my office at work. Your vids are my "smoke breaks" for the non-smoker, haha. Thanks again, and keep on wandering! (And please keep recording it for the rest of us!)
Some really nice angles and depth of field. thumbs up! I love the sounds of wood splitting, snow crunching and cracking fire... and the sausage looked so delicious! nice music too... thanks for sharing.
I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. Very artistic and serene. I'm an old dude that studies bushcraft daily but just can't get in the woods so I do get to enjoy your treks. Love the music too!
Oh I remember that crunch sound that snow makes when it's good and cold from growing up in the upper Midwest. I never thought I'd say this but I miss the winters!
'mornin, Shog; Thank U for letting us join U on another stellar outing.Very Peaceful. Love the music inlays U use. Really sets the Mood.Looking 4ward 2 more like this. Happy Trails From The Maritimes In Canada ATB Terry " GOD BLESS "
Great video - very well made and orchestrated. One of the best channels I've subscribed to. Love the Frost(y) River pack, too. Makes me want to break mine out more often in the winter. Keep up the great work, gents.
My favorite Bushcrafter is back making videos! I really enjoy the videos you make and the music that accompany them! WHERES THE BACON LOL! I know life keeps us all pretty busy, but I hope you can still continue to make more outdoor videos Thanks for the great times brother!
Great video, I really loved the song that starts at 10 something. It really blends in with the whole video. Everything seems so tranquil and beautiful. Thank you.
I've enjoyed many of your videos for a while now. I'm always struck by your cinematography, composition and editing skill; second only to your bushcraft skills... and whatever that camera is...I want one.
Damn that sausage and coffee looked tasty! Looked like you guys could of used some snow shoes! Very jealous as we've had next to no snow at all this winter :( All the best Danny
Another great Video, thank You for this one! I could simply feel the coldness. Look's like You are still satisfied with Your GB American Felling Axe...? Greetings from Germany, Arthur
Awesome video! great to see one from you again. You must really be enjoying the belknap blue grass! Question: what thickness do you get your AS knives in? Just i curious
I am looking forward to winter as well, favorite season. I think the reply thing must be in my settings, unfortunately I am not smart enough to figure it out heh.
Nice video and awesome stills, hay your close to us, up here in Glens Falls. Any planning on bringing your work to any of the craft shows we have up here?
Ok, tell me about the axe handle. Did you treat it with something? It looks red. I just use good old Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) but yours looks better. Love this vid. Thanks.
What I axe would you recommend using for out in the woods chopping wood for a camp fire, and also an axe for chopping fire wood at home for a fire place?
That's really not my thing Nebraska. I leave it up to people to figure out what they want to do. If you need a suggestion get a boys axe. See if you like it. Maybe its too much, maybe its not enough axe for you. Its a great axe to start with. Hope that helps you.
Beautiful frozen wilderness (check), lugging around heavy packs including nice ax with heavy leather sheath (check), clearing snow and chipping off ice from a log(check), finding, chopping up wood, and having to track down the wood that went flying when it got chopped (check). Oh, God. I'm glad I'm sitting home here on the couch watching somebody else do this. Wait, this background music is really starting to bug me (check). LOL and LIKE given. ;-)
Mr woodsman very enjoyable video but shouldn't you remove the bark before putting your sausage on it as bark harbours bacteria. Look after yourself and your cholesterol!
The ax is back. Long live the ax and the great outdoors in the Adirondacks!!! Thank you for taking us all along with you on your outdoor adventures.

Nice day to be out just passing time and enjoying every minute.
Oh I remember that crunch sound that snow makes when it's good and cold from growing up in the upper Midwest. I never thought I'd say this but I miss the winters!

I watched this drinkin a frosty beer in a remote area of the desert southwest. Just after a day of grading my land for new construction.
I've enjoyed many of your videos for a while now.
I'm always struck by your cinematography, composition and editing skill; second only to your bushcraft skills... and whatever that camera is...I want one.
It's just a Canon T3i with a Tamron 17-50 2.8 VR lens.

Na, I brought them, but left them in the car. Wasn't enough snow to warrant using them. I need about 2 feet before I think about using shoes.
Man im jealous id be wearing them all the time if we had some damn snow!!!
Another great Video, thank You for this one!
I could simply feel the coldness.
Look's like You are still satisfied with Your GB American Felling Axe...?

Great Video! can you please, please tell me who is playing the music in the opening sequence and what the tune is called. Thanks
Simply spectacular.
Thank ya much! I appreciate it.
Great vid guys.
Looks like a grand time.
Those who can truly appreciate hearing that crisp cracking sound when twigs are bent may drink from my cup any day.
An ancient sound that resonated in-and-out of the ears of generations of our ancestors, stretching back in time.
Great video as always
Nice vid & photo's.
Just really outstanding !!!
Awesome video! great to see one from you again. You must really be enjoying the belknap blue grass! Question: what thickness do you get your AS knives in? Just i curious
5/32" or about 4mm if you prefer.
Makes me anxious for the snow to come. Hey I tried to respond to the reply you left on my vid but there's no reply button. Not sure why that happens.
I am looking forward to winter as well, favorite season. I think the reply thing must be in my settings, unfortunately I am not smart enough to figure it out heh.
I just changed a setting, might work now. Have to test it out.
Oscar
Great job guys!!! Whish I could have made it!!!
Nice video and awesome stills, hay your close to us, up here in Glens Falls. Any planning on bringing your work to any of the craft shows we have up here?
No plans no.
Very nice, I'll have to find a fero rod like that.
Where do you get the ferro to make your ferro rods?
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO LOVE IT
Ok, tell me about the axe handle. Did you treat it with something? It looks red. I just use good old Boiled Linseed Oil (BLO) but yours looks better. Love this vid. Thanks.
Its just a little water based stain. Dried then boiled linseed like normal.
Great look. Thanks again.
Nice video! Where can buy this teapot and backpack?
Все просто и со вкусом
English?
Adirondack Wilderness Russia 😃👍

Man that firesteel seems to work really well compared to my Light My Fire. Is it because of the extended length?
I wager it sure helps a lot having a longer rod. Pun intended.
Love the video. what is the background music? It really sets the mood for your video.
great video sir.
Awesome video. What is the name of the fire steel you are using? I'm looking to replace the one I have.
I made it myself.
were do you get your music and what style is it considered
What kind of axe were you using in the video?
What kind of firesteel are you using?
is that the full size frost river pack?
perfect.....
the only thing missing was me. nice vid.
Hey man, how to do to buy one knife you made?
inspiring!
It's working for me, although I don't see any bacon in this...
The venison sausage was enough haha, bacon was in the backpack though.
I to favor the axe. Enough of abusing knives to split wood. But, each to his own. Thanks for the video. Ray, Oklahoma
I do both.
MORE!
