I do remember my copy of the "First 100 Episodes!" set has 2 big separate cases which is a nice alternative in case some folks (including myself) aren't fond of the DVD packaging style. But I'm still happy that this big set is available for any SpongeBob fan.
I really missed those clear individual slim cases that holds two discs each on the entire boxsets. Depending if the disc holding prongs arent broken nor a minor damage of the case themselves at least they are way better than those cases with a detachable disc trays and bulky one with stacked discs with hard disc holding prongs. But that's what we are dealing with on complete TV Boxsets!
how is this stacked disc packaging even allowed??? this packaging is the only reason i don't wanna get the Fairly OddParents complete series (if they do another release in good packaging then i will get it) these companies need to learn from Shout Factory cause Shout Factory is the king of DVD packaging
I have the 2 DVD case set of the First 100 Episodes. Same with the Next 100 Episodes too. I like the 2 DVD case version since none of the DVDs are stacked on top of each other in either set and they’re easy to get to and pull out. I hope they do a 2 DVD case set of Another 100 Episodes in the future.
It seems like the set you've got here reused the discs from the individual Complete Sixth Season set, though one of the other Next 100 Episodes sets (maybe the one in the Best 200 Episodes?) you also have contains the version where the discs for the sixth season have the artwork like all the others. So, this one particular variation has the grey discs, it looks to me like they might've repackaged the ones from the individual season set in with all the other ones for seasons seven through nine still having the full artwork.

I'd like to see him unbox it as well to hear his opinion of it. It's alot like the Rugrats complete series with there being up to three discs stacked on a spindle. The spindle pages(?) are on hinges so they don't come out of the case like the spongebob ones do. The discs have artwork on every disc. Looks great overall and nice to have. Not a bad price either. A friend of mine has a copy of the version of The First 100 Episodes with the two cases underneath a slipcover, and he can confirm that the discs are essentially packaged in a manner similar to many of Shout! Factory’s Complete Series DVD releases of Nickelodeon shows (specifically all of them except the one for CatDog). It’s from 2019; The Next 100 Episodes was repackaged in the same style a year later (he also owns that edition of the other set).
When I unboxed my copy, I told myself that I wasn't gonna swear and that kids are watching. Once I saw the packaging and how I had many floater discs as well, I kinda couldn't resist. I was disappointed although I still have my copy because I'm happy that it includes all 14 seasons although the packaging is really bad.
