Can't wait to see your build!!! I have a 185 and a 200s that I am going to do the same thing to. One will stay a 3 wheelers and the other will become a 2 wheeler. Both will get either Predator 420's or the DuroMax XP18HPE 18 Hp
This hurts my heart. But then again it's gonna be pretty darn cool. And that thing is in good shape in my area I that thing would bring 800 bucks with a new axle. Not running . Will be following for sure
Yup, I know this now. Thanks. She was my first atc. It’s a multipurpose lever for rear brake, parking brake, and reverse. Why Honda thought they needed two rear brake controls is beyond me. I have since bought 2 more big reds and love the crap out of them.
Did I say we were upgrading? For a while I’ve wanted to fab up a mini bike with the utility style 250es big red front end. I found a junker big red that fit the bill. I’m not a professional fabricator so there was no way I was going to build a rear end that would work with the 250es shaft drive. Not to mention the engine was in questionable shape. I do however have a ton of experience with Honda clone engines. I have already built a go kart with the same 420cc predator setup. It’s hauls ass. I also own two other big reds. The 420 and 250 are very comparable on take off. And the go cart is way heavier than the bike.

I understand the stock engine is tried and tested 30+ years, but I have no clue how to convert shaft to chain. I’ve used the predator 420 engine before in a go kart build, and I’ve always wanted to throw one in a bike.

@@trevorashford1811 check out the last video of it. I get not destroying a Honda, but this was a clapped out POS that literally was headed to the scrap yard. It turned into a really cool build!
Yeah maybe. I felt pretty depressed when I got it home and looked at it in more detail. Then I bought two more decent shape big reds and found out the parts are $$$. So I made out ok spending $250.
Big reds don’t have a clutch, that is the rear brake on your left hand
There is a clutch but it's Automatic so no clutch lever.
clutch? what a mechanic.
I have an 85 big red 250es myself and I thought mine was a little rough till I seen this 86. Somebody rode the hell out of that one and put it up wet
Those plastics are mint
F’n eh Cotton! F’n eh!
Bring it back to life!

Thanks for being open minded.

Too late. We tore it down to the frame in the last video. My intention has always been to turn it into a 2 wheeled bike.

Haha. Thats funny. The 246cc engine makes 20hp with a 5 speed. Thats a downgrade bud!

Some guy named "ricky" did all that welding

my tank is new condition
I was about to say....ummm
why wouldn’t you just leave the tride and true original engine vs some cheap motor that will last 3 months
