I am so happy I got this video in my recommendations today. I just finished my master's in biology and I want to pursue a PhD, however, the whole process seems so overwhelming and I've just felt stuck and lost for the past couple of months. Your video and thoughts made me more sure that it will all come into place. Thank you for the lovely video. Also, I love whales!
@@kpipinic ahhh I’m so glad it could be of some help! You’ll defo figure out what you need/want to do next :) it can all be very overwhelming, so I’m sure you already know to take your time and find one you truly want to do :) Well done with your masters! And whales are the best!
@@lilyh9791 I’m so glad you found a warm hug in it 🥹🙏 thank you for this - and not only a freshman, but a huge achievement and so much to come! :) best of luck with your studies and welcome to this space! x
I have said this in the past but your art and videos are like a soup for the soul. I can tell you as someone in their late 30's a lot of this still applies, maybe I would add " being by yourself is not a bad thing if you love yourself" Looking forward to the next post :)
Great list!! People definitely should give themselves space to figure things out, and to get things wrong sometimes, and to ask questions when they feel uncertain about something, rather than faking all-knowing-ness out of fear. btw "Chicken Soup for the Soul" is a series of self-help books and related materials, so if you're thinking of coining it as a cool-sounding name you might want to try a different soup flavor, like "French Onion Soup for the Soul" or "Lobster Bisque for the Soul". What color did you end up making the hat? Did you go with alisarin crimson?
As someone who’s getting things wrong constantly, I totally agree! Chicken soup for the soul is brilliant, thank you for letting me know it exists! I just love how caring it sounds :)
Oops, forgot to mention! I ended up painting it a brown colour, so it definitely looks more like a cowboy hat now 😂 I think I need a bit more practise!
I've seen and experiences the feeling of guilt over working in a feild just for money but also, you go do a well paying job that isn't you to your interest so you earn money and do things you like outside of work xD at least till there is some financial confidence :')
It’s such an internal struggle, I get you! I’m still struggling with this every day 😅 money doesn’t bring happiness, but it does help you pay for necessities (like therapy!) which can be incredibly important too. 😢
