Its decent but lets not get carried away shall we? Also it seems that its only a 2 axis suspension system instead of one for each tyre....not very advanced tbh
While the first game is good, this one is anything but. - Controls are way too sensitive. Doesn't matter how much tuning, you will still find yourself constantly drifting and eventually spinning out easily. - Soundtracks are uninspiring. The music are really forgettable and nothing to write home about. Once you turn off the game, you won't remember any of them. - Some tracks are way too long. In Rally Cross 1, all tracks are very short which makes it easy for players to start and finish a race quickly. But here, some tracks took forever to finish a lap. When you combine the two problems above, it becomes a painful experience. Overall, Rally Cross 2 is a bad sequel. If you are coming from the first game or looking for a new racing game on PS1, do not get this one. Imo, the worst racing game ever made on the console.
I heavily disagree. I grew up with this one but then you'll say I am biased. I plan on playing the first one, just in case. The controls, sensitive? Even dumb kid me was able to finish it no problem, and mind you, I didn't play it with analog mode in mind, plain as heck d-pad mode. I hardly spun out in this game. But sliding/drifting, I'm familiar with it. The soundtrack I do half agree, they're not super inspiring but I do remember some of the music in this game. Switchyard and Black Forest is easily my favorites. As for the tracks, I do agree some tracks are longers than others, but some, way too long? While I agree Refinery is pretty long, we're not talking nurburgring levels of long. Comparison of other PS1 games, Special Stage Route 11 in GT1, now that's a very long track. I don't agree with this being a bad sequel, it works just fine as it is, and there's more car variety here. In the prequel, you have a bunch of cars but you get to notice some cars are a recolor of others, from what I have seen on the internet. But the worst racing game for the CONSOLE? That's really bold, you clearly didn't play other bad racing games. Do me a favor, play Hooters Road Trip. You'll see what a really bad racing game really is. P.S.: I'm by no means attacking, just stating my opinion. If you think I am being extremely biased, eh, that's life, we are made to agree and disagree.
The suspension working as the vehicle moves on the damaged terrain is better than a majority of actual games.

My few actual first PS1 games ever played when my uncle gave me my first ever PS1....Thanks for doing this!
This is amazing. I couldn’t remember the name and looked everywhere. Such a fun game, thank you!
I recall playing with a friend messing around and asking him to wait for me to clean the car up in the river

how does it feel to be wrong?
First Rally Cross was better.
This one had more content, maybe better graphics. But dumbed down physics.
